But just like the strange rumour cycle that suddenly erupted when Moggy C disappeared for a day or two then perhaps we are reading too much into Mark12’s disappearance.
What makes you think that was a rumour, Malcolm? Despite disingenuously misleading responses and deletion of the thread, it wasn’t a rumour that Moggy was banned for a couple of weeks following a complaint and then after reinstatement flounced until someone noticed he was gone.
It’s clear that many people have a great deal of respect for Mark12’s contribution to this forum and his absence leaves it a poorer place. However, when a moderator repeatedly deletes his posts out of personal pique, you can hardly blame Mark12 for taking his bat home.
That’s WB569 Brian. Tssk tssk, where’s your notebook? 😉
This is the Chippy that the late Steve Young had his first flight in.

This volunteering malarkey sounds expensive.
I’m in agreement, the photos, which I found during a quick google, don’t suggest blue and white, they’re Sky/EDSG. The one on the Airliners.net link is pretty clear. However, they do confirm that the Wyvern stood guard in front of the museum. The Blackburn NA.39 neatly fits the bill for the blue and white scheme.

It just had to be put right.

It just had to be put right.

I think that quote is attributed to the Blackburn Botha.
You were lucky to see it Rob, I think it has spent most of the time in storage for the past few years
It came out of storage in 2012 according to http://www.fleetairarm.com/exhibit/fairey-firefly-tt1-z2033/2-4-66.aspx
