Not a complete mount by the looks of it, and a Sabre might be hard to get. Don’t know if the IWM does have any Sabres in store?

You should be looking for one of these I think Cees.Standard brass aircrew torch A.M. Ref 5A/47.
Thanks Martin,
Now I know what to look for.
Richard,
The building is a large fortress just ouside of Amsterdam with walls
about 1.5 metres thick but the doors are small however. A Merlin
with exhausts removed can just fit through them so……
But in the (hopefully unlikely) event of moving out it can be
dismantled by drilling out selected rivets and unbolting the structure.
It will come apart in large sections that will go through the doors,
Some touching up of the paint is all that is necessary after it has
been put together again.
It would be a hell of a job and not something I am looking forward too
but we had to think about it anyway,
Cheers
Cees
Good news indeed.
No matter what nationality, these missing aircrew deserve
a proper burial.
Cees
Cees, there’s a sectioned Sabre in a (large) display case upstairs in AirSpace. It would look better with a cockpit bolted to it.
Thanks, never seen it.
Cees
Phillip,
Haven”t you got anything better to do?
You can better convert a Lancaster back to Manchester specs.
Now that would close a gap.
Cees
I thought the only dutch twin engined aircraft that i can think of used Mercury engines in stead of Pegasus engines?
Think again?:D
Cees
Thanks John,
So have I but these enquiries are not for me but for someone who intends to start a fullsize Fokker T V twin-engined bomber.

In Europe Daz?
Cees
Do we need another flying Lanc?
Just Jane was doing just fine for the taying rides. But as we all know it’s the owners who are paying for it.
Cees
Wasn’t EN145 found stamped in a fueltank cover during restoration?
Mark should know, or is it all in the book?
😉
Cees
Don’t get me wrong, I would like to see NX611 flying
again in Europe. But in this economical climate it would
be a huge competition between BBMF and the Panton
Brothers for these aircraft to pay for their upkeep. And
as has been said the risk that she might crash is always
present (but that’s life of course). The way they presented
JJ as a taying exhibit also had some great merit.
If an aircraft takes off it’s gone from it’s base until it returns
What to do in the meantime at East Kirkby?
Just thinking out loud.
Cees
If only their father had approved of the purchase of a Halifax bomber
for only 100 pounds at the time, then you wouldn’t have heard me nagging
about getting JJ airworthy.
:dev2:
Cees
Well, with the will to get the engines you want anything is possible. The chap in question has only just started to get into it so he says. Time will tel how serious he is.
Cees
Where’s DaveR when you need him.
Oh I get it, last seen speeding towards Parkhouse Aviation.
:p

And the recenly dumped outside fuselage sections of another Indian Tempest II in the UK (see Christers site) shows the complete disregard for this important aircraft type of which only a dozen or so are extant.
What’s the use of leaving steel tubing outside to rot.
Strange way to preserve historic aviation. Is the frame available (not for me)?????
