The aircraft did have guns, I think he was giving them a sporting chance. They removed the radio I believe.
‘The first Desert Air Force squadron to receive Spitfires was No 145 in April 1942. These were tropicalised Mk VBs. One was stripped of armour and two 0.5-inch machine guns replaced the normal armament. Fitted with a four-bladed propeller and with its Merlin suitably ‘tweaked’ to give more power at high altitude, this aircraft climbed to 42,000 feet to shoot down a Ju-86P reconnaissance aircraft.’

The only one I know to compare with the HUSTLER is the Matra Moynet M-2000
I think you have had a long day Martin, French prototype aircraft start with the F-W sequence and then change registrations when certified. (?).:)
Goooooood to have YOU by my side 😀
Does anyone know why each of these two planes had two different registrations?
F-WLKE and F-BLKE
F-BLKY and F-WLKY
They http://1000aircraftphotos.com/HistoryBriefs/Moynet360Jupiter.htm mention, that there was a proposal to build a third model (M 360-P).
ADAM A500 (only 7 built)
Star Kraft SK-700 (sole prototype)
Piel C.P. 500 (was it ever built?)
Mike, I’ve sent an email to you!

I remember seeing LN-FOE at Edinburgh back in 1969/1970 or so.
Do you mean LN-FOH Lockheed L-188AF Electra ?

Hi chaps/chapesses,
Can anyone tell me who plays the arrangement of ‘The Last Post’ during the Spitfire Finale at the Biggin Hill shows?
After years of hearing it accompany Ray in ‘434 and more recently with John Romain in ‘845 I’d like to have a copy for personal use. Does anyone know where I can buy it?
TIA
Chris
Not especially the version from Biggin Hill – but…

You may be right. It carries the code 91 on its cowling – as does F-AZUR in the photo. Is it now based at Nantes Atlantique rather than Ancenis?
Don’t know!
