or
NX-2587, a SEV-1-68, c/n 147 built 1938
‘…NX2587…NX2586 was to be shipped off to Europe for a flying sales and demonstration tour….A BRITISH Air Ministry team was introduced to the planes a Martlesham Air Base in Suffolk, before Seversky flew the EPI-68 to Southampton, to Supermarine’s Woolston factory.’

Good morning;
I am just new to this forum and was kindly directed here by Mr. David Jackson of AJJ Collection.
I have a few photos and slides which I will post here in the nest few days after I dig them out and get them scanned. My Dad’s memory is still pretty good and I will visit him today to get whatever information He can provide.
Welcome!
That sounds great 🙂

The CV 880 and 990 always were impressive aircraft. I remember the 990s of Spantax at Gatwick and of Swissair at Heathrow in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Also the Martinair 640s at Gatwick about the same time. Those were the days!
Made my first long distance travel in a 990 – after all the short flights with Viscounts and DC6s.

XM797, which I believe was a British Army evaluation aircraft, is still airworthy in South Africa. Belongs to the SAAF Museum.
If anyone is really keen, I’ll dig out the photo’s and scan them.

Thanks! Now it works fine with Firefox 😉

I wonder if someone could tell me which Optica was displayed (Static) at the Farnborough Show in 1996, I was one of the two chaps that looked after this aircraft on the stand all week.
