Spooky. I only mentioned to Moggy on Saturday I hadn’t seen this film. I’ve heard good and bad things about it – what’s your view?

Hopefully I can commandeer *my* Freeview box from the uncultured masses and watch BBC4 tonight. I feel a bout of selfishness brewing :diablo:

There’s an unsafe level of zoom there if you ask me 😉

Sounds like Janie turned up at LG “late” in the day and they wouldn’t sell her fuel. Presumably no one on the radio to acknowledge availability?

All this has left me wondering about land ahead options at our strip. Our strip forms the skinny ridge line of a hill. Options ahead are narrow. The nearest I can see for the map is the river valley to south but would mean getting to about circuit height. What do I do now? Some ground and aerial recce required methinks.

Great isn’t it when you vault one of those brick walls that stand in your way en-route to the vital bit of paper? The next is solo consolidation 🙂

I was in Scu..sorry Southampton last Saturday with a mate and we were at a lost “to do something”. I suggested this museum but mentioned we’d only be there for about half an hour given its size. Instead we went off to Pompey, had a gander in HMS Alliance at the RN Sub Museum then off the Still&West for lunch (hmmm, Gales HSB!) followed by a bit more naval lark at the dock yard. The point being solent sky is not a solid visitor attraction in its own right.

I was at Dunlop in Birmingham a few years back and they were threaterning to dust off the plans to make more heat exchangers for the Conway – something they hadn’t done for 20 years!

A good airframe should be adaptable to take advantage of new technology be that engines, airframe mods, new guns and so forth. The Spitifre proved this. I wonder if the same could be said for the -40?

Roger – what’s the budget? Are they able to travel? Have they been in an aeroplane before? If so, doing what?

The above sounds expensive and far flung. I’d by thinking about a trial lesson say from Wellesbourne (in a Robin *wink*) and going from there.

The bigger the landmass a country has the lower the fuel tax has to be in order to allow free trade. This though can encourage inefficiency as mentioned above.
