Yes they are just inside the 5.7T (-23 type reg) limit so can be flown single-crew without a TR iirc.

I have just picked up reading this after putting it down about a year ago..

Whilst many purists would likely poo-poo it, I think it gives a nice gentle introduction and overview to the subject.
Some quick research shows this to be on the Canadian register so there should be an air accident report for it. Nothing appears though here:

BTW what are the views on a 120 deg V6? My employer tried this years back in a race engine then went back to a conventional V- layout.
Anything that gets away from lead-burning fuel that presently commands a 50% premium in the UK over UL road fuel (and so in the process is killing/killed GA) would be worthwhile.
