Nice pics. How many cameras do you have and which models?

Yeah I saw, dangerous filming drama with the general public around – they all look at the camera!

Where was the pub where they met at the end?

For a mere $30-odd you could route your email through Spam Bot and have them filter it for you.

The best solution rather depends who provides your e-mail service.

You could always learn to read aviation METARS (actuals) and TAFs (forecasts)

Available here for free and without registration
    http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/coded.html

    For example, presently

    Metar: EGCC 271420Z 31014KT 9999 FEW026 SCT039 16/11 Q1026
(reported on the 27th at 14:20 GMT, wind is from 310 degrees, blowing 14 knots, there are few clouds at 2600ft above the airfield, scattered clouds at 3900 feet. Visibility greater than 10km (9999 bit). Temp is +16 deg C, dewpoint is +11 deg C. Pressure is 1026mb)

    TAF: EGCC 271157Z 271322 32010KT 9999 FEW028 BKN040
(predicted conditions made on 27th at 11:57 GMT for the 27th period 13:00 to 22:00 GMT – wind 320 deg, 10 knots. Visibility greater than 10km. Few clouds at 2800ft, broken clouds at 4000ft.)

NB Few = 1-2 eighths, Scattered = 3-4 eighths, broken = 5-7 eights and overcast is literally that (8 eighths).

I had a bizarre dream last night probably as a result of seeing the 1951 Wing to Wing video posted earlier on the forum.

The Red Bull were flying all their aircraft together in formation and at the back rather out of the blue was Concorde. I couldn’t believe Red Bull could afford to do it but there it was.

Odd huh? Even more odd that I dream sometimes about aeroplanes 😮

So got to do it at rather short notice last Thursday. The forecast put gusting winds beyond the crosswind limit of the aircraft which dually disappeared on the 1019 just after I arrived. Game on then.

Still with a Northerly the hold, approaches and landing would be and were sporting. To cut a long story short, most of the test was satisfactory. I partialled though so will have to retake the procedural NDB/DME part again. Yeovil is evil and the DME hardly works.

I also got castigated slightly for not knowing what the “approach ban” is. Some CAP393/ANO for bedtime reading then. 🙂

I’m hoping the retest is next door at Bristol Filton (test starts at Bristol Lulsgate) so not too far away and a more helpful field. I’m on the standby list for this forthcoming week and iirc have a proper slot the following Tuesday.

By the way the later forecast, published just as we we went flying (bit too late to affect a change of plan), put the gust back in so technically I shouldn’t have been up 🙂

Probably, anyway this is about spam innit?

There have been been far fewer spam attacks this year since the board was upgraded and processes were put into place to deter the automatic registration robots.
