“China eyes South African weaponry”
Published: January 07, 2009

Column: Military Might
Hong Kong, China — China has had a number of dealings with South African weapons manufacturers over the past decade, most of which have not resulted in actual weapons purchases. However, several recent China-made military technologies bear suspicious resemblances to their South African counterparts.
(IMO, the WZ-10 doesn’t exist.) XD

“2008 major ROC military news review”
Reviewing 2008, my most memorable military aviation event, inside or outside Commie China, is the disappearance of PLA Mi-171 LH92734 in Si Chuan Province.
The first few weeks after the 5.12 earthquake in Si Chuan Province, the Commie Chinese TV channels were amazingly transparent, and were live-reporting the disaster relief campaign, practically 24/7.
When I first heard a Chicom military helo had gone Elvis, I first thought maybe it was delayed by local weather. As hours dragged on, into night, I thought maybe it had a mechanical or technical malfunction, and had emergency landed somewhere. Also, I was disappointed the helo had no emergency IFF transponder.
After all, the pilot was a Senior Colonel, and even the flight engineer was a Colonel; which somewhat reminded me of two of the Star Trek movies, when a Klingon Bird-of-Prey Class gunboat, was borrowed by a Starfleet crew of Captains and Commanders.
As the night dragged on, into day, then into another night, I thought maybe it crash-landed somewhere, and hoped some of its crew and passengers could survive.
Eventually, after some false alarms, they found the crash spot, and looking at its photo, it was hopeless: the side of a cliff or slope in a gullly. Imagine: punching your fist against a concrete wall.
Coincidentally:
