wow, a lot has been going around here.
DAN,
To get back on-topic, here are a few pics. Hopefully not already posted too often. May the last one one, the soaring MEA plane, be a symbol of hope.
thanks a lot for the pics, yeah indeed MEA is a hope symbol, all the lebanese are uniting on how to regain the title “switzerland of the middle east”, and MEA is one of many positive points.
skythe,
thanks a lot man for the link, it’s a very interesting thread by the way.
kfadrat and erez,
Yet, on the other hand, you continue posting bull$hit as your signature.
I just like reminding the world of your deeds, the same game you play when you always remind the world of the Nazi deeds.
hey guys, can we have some respect for each other? come on we are civilized people in a thread, so please, let’s stay cool.
kfadrat,
can you tell me what’s so true about Lebanon being occupied by Syria?? I don’t remember the Lebanese ELECTED government complaining about Syria
well well well, the syrians are forcing people to elect the ones that are puppets to syrian regime, and the ones who are not doing so are being kidnaped or beaten or ….even killed, that’s what so true about being occupied by syrians, not counting the millions of dollars transfered from lebanon to syria each day (dirty money).
I don’t remember the Lebanese ELECTED government complaining about Syria
well because all the cabinet is pro-syria.
2) are you one of General Oun supporters? I know it was dan who posted his pic but I think I have to ask you to verify that, it means a lot while discussing.
if not then do you support Dr. Sameer Ga’ga’
I do support them, and i do support each free lebanese working to free his country from syrian occupation, Dr. Geagea is in prison because of his patriotism, General Michel Aoun is in exile (France) for the same reason. And hundreds others are being prosecuted, taken to jail, tortured, killed for the same reason. Here are proofs, see the pics, would you call relations between lebanon and syria FRIENDLY?
posting the link again (cause the previous one didn’t work):

can anyone explain to me please what does this one stop security check system mean?
thanks
I think the Eurofighter will be one of the best to serve in the LAF. 😉
more pics
phrozenflame, Baath party is really a disease in this world.
dan, here are few pics of the lebanese christian forces, they were doing good, until they were dismantled at the end of the civil war, believing that the other part will be dismantled too, but syria played a very bad role by putting the christian leaders in jail or exile, and letting other criminals play.
the lebanese christians had helicopters , a navy and strong soldiers.
PS: Would you happen to have pictures of militaria in Lebanon?
sorry i didn’t understand, what do you mean?
Lebanon has always been closest to France
it’s 100% true
A free Lebanon, as opposed to one dominated by Syria, is something I think Israel would very much like to see
that’s what everybody would like to see, but unfrotunately lebanese men and women are suffering and being tortured by syrians, and 🙁 nobody in this world cares .
OLD is GOLD 🙂
here’s a MEA 747-100 in Prestwick , 1976
Enjoy
As far as I know, Middle East Airlines (MEA) is going to join Skyteam in November. A LOT of airlines ARE joining this year
Regards
I AM A LEBANESE AND I TOTALLY AGREE WITH WHAT DAN_PUB SAID !!!!!
well done mate, I’m surprised by the knowledge you have.
now returning to our subject (lebanese mirages/lebanese air force), if lebanon got independence from Syria one day( I hope soon), and normal democracy will rule back in lebanon, which airplanes would be the best to fly in the skies of lebanon? (I mean lebanese air force 😉 )
DAN,
unfortunately, the lebanese air force is not publishing any details,
all i know about the Fouga Magisters is that they were operating since 1965.
Here are four Fouga Magisters in a formation.
GDL, sorry , it seemed that I had wrong information.
MarocMirage, thanks for the pic.
skythe, well….if lebanon was not occupied by syria, a lot of thinks could have changed, even the mirages could have been flying over lebanon and not sold, ….but u know, **** politics . I am concerned about LAF, but unfortunately as you said not so many informations are available on the net, the Hawker Hunters are somewhere in lebanon, not sure in which base, but in one of Ryak, Kleyat or Beirut air base. Concerning pilots, I guess they are sent to trainings in the US, UK and France from time to time, and actually i have neither dates nor names for the pilots. The LAF was almost paralysed and not active during civil war between lebanese christians on one side and muslim with palestinians on the other side. You asked me why the Hunters were operated and not the Mirages, …well the mirages were , if i’m not mistaken, sent to France (i don’t have precise dates) .
The LAF these days consists only of 16 helicopters given by the USA as a donation.
good news, I would immagine the TAROM c/s would look preety on an A318.
ohadbx, Saleem Y Hatoum, and GDL,
sorry i was supposed to say in the 60’s-70’s, nowadays a lot of countries indeed have the mirage III.
Holger Sens, thanks a lot man for the lovely picture, I would be thankful if you can provide me with other lebanese mirage pictures, do you have more pics?
skythe, the Hawker Hunters are still in Lebanon but not operational, since syria is not allowing them to fly 🙁 , the last time I saw them flying over beirut is 4 or 5 years ago in a formation for the lebanese independance day’s parade.
I think Lebanon, Switzerland, Israel and South Africa were the only countries, other than France, to have the Mirage III
