I have the whole set on video and would love to replace them on DVD:)
My report on last year’s event was published in Aircraft Illustrated, so you can read how good it was! 😉 Lovely weather and a great variety of civil and military, vintage and modern…even a RAF Merlin! Let’s hope for more of the same and give him all your support.
Just wonderful to see this and many thanks for posting those superb photos! Just very sad that this has happened in Texas, when the Fleet Air Arm Historic Flight should have restored it like this 🙁 Why did they let it go from Culdrose?

Looks like the same models I photographed way back when. Don’t know who made ’em, but they do give you an idea of what they’d have looked like. Looks like the old KP kit – nice.
Cheers
They’re made by Geoff Trenholme of the IPMS Aerobatic Teams SIG, of which I’m also a member.
Wait a little longer and WARPAINT books will be bringing out a book on the history of the Lysander with colour profile drawings and lots of photos soon.

IIRC, the MATS Connie didn’t use Duxford when she performed at Legends back in ’98. I don’t know why or what relevance it has,but I just thought I’d mention it…:D
I think the reason was that it was operating from Cranfield during the PFA Rally over the same weekend

Cool…….But will it land on the grass ok?
Yes, why not, the MATS Connie landed on the grass at Middle Wallop a few years ago and anyway, what’s wrong with Duxford’s runway?

will they operate both aircraft in tandem? Would be very expensive but ill be happy as it would mean we would have three airworthy Catalinas on the circuit 😀
Yeah, probably call them the “Catamarang duo” !:p
