Prisoners don’t administer “justice”. They get some payback or revenge. And if they were level headed, they probably wouldn’t be prison inmates in the violent offenders ward. It’s a noble concept, but it doesn’t really apply to convicted, incarcerated, violent criminals does it?

Once you put someone in jail or prison, it is then the state or nation that is responsible for their welfare.

The good news is that the same high standards that are being applied to meat inspection in the UK will be applied to the scientific analysis, understanding, and control of Global Warming.

So Keep Calm and Carrion. :diablo:

Just out of interest, would you be happy to test-fly a composite aircraft of unconventional configuration that had been designed by a climatologist?

Grey that’s both terrifying and hilarious at the same time! I think an aircraft designed by a climatologist would be a balloon, because they deal with hot air on a regular basis and would require a large amount of it for their design to fly. I suspect that if aircraft designers used the same standards as GW believers then most test pilots would be victims of natural selection, and we’d still be crashing planes made of wood & canvas.

    Cheers

Interesting link T-21, thanks. Jim, is your neighbor’s description of the accident consistent with the one in T-21’s link? Did he witness a head-on collision? I’m just trying to understand how those 2 aircraft from the same location and flown by men who knew each other wound up heading straight at each other at the same altitude in cloudy conditions. And yet it would seem that those on the ground may have been able to see the accident coming.

Eyewitness account are notoriously unreliable and time often doesn’t help, but sometimes they are surprisingly accurate and I have no reason to doubt these accounts. Thanks

    Cheers

    Well said John.

To suggest that the BBC or any U.S. media organization will present both sides of this story equally is just nonsense. If there were any attempt to even pretend to be objective about it then they wouldn’t declare “There is no debate” or “The debate is settled” like they often do in order to shut down dissent or debate.

My favorite is “The science is settled.” :p

I can’t find it at the moment but I have an article about the Russell Aviation Group Bf-109 from about 10 years ago that I believe said that the engine must be rebuilt every 200 hours. That doesn’t really mean anything but I’m pretty sure that was the figure quoted in the magazine article. I’ll try and find it later.

It’s been predicted to be here NOW! In any case current or forecast tiny warmings are but a blip on the road to the next ice-age since we are thought to be in an interglacial period now. So watch out for extensive ice sheets again in 30/50,000 years. That should finish off a good chunk of the global population.

    How true Charlie.

While so many of these GW alarmists are busy preparing for a time they would never live to see, most of them will die of preventable disease, accidents in the home, heart attacks, a fall down the stairs, auto accidents, gunshot wounds (U.S. citizens only!) or being hit by a car. To those future generations that will prepare for GW I would just say, be sure you have a nice warm coat.

On a related note, I see where some large chunks of global warming came down in Russia yesterday. We should have done something to prevent that.

    My Quote:
I’m with Moggy, this doesn’t affect me and never will.

Maybe it will, maybe it won’t but “sure as little eggs is little eggs” it will affect all our children and grandchildren.

    Planemike

You mean YOUR children and grandchildren I presume? If GW is going to have any bearing on my life it better get here right quick. So unless it’s now predicted to arrive in the next decade then I’m quite confident that GW will have no effect on my time remaining. GW alarmists, fear-mongers and scam artists may try to have an effect, but I know how to deal with them.

In any event, the backdrop of Nature is too vast and man’s efforts to puny to justify taxing ourselves into penury for the sake of what I can describe only as a spectacular naivety.

This sums it up brilliantly. Simple, concise, and true. In the U.S. we have no shortage of people who are perfectly willing and in fact doing their best to try and penalize and tax us to death with their green scams. Some of them actually believe it, a few of them are making huge sums of money from it.

The U.S. might well be duped into crippling our business and industry with taxes, tariffs, and regulations but China and other players will never go along with such economic suicide. Our nation is on a fast track to collapse, we can’t even provide basic services for much of our population and it’s going to get much worse in the coming weeks. This is just man’s folly, man’s arrogance that he can control things on a universal scale when in fact most of us can’t even control things at the personal or local level.
