The fact that Dan Snow researched (presumably!) for a piece about ejection seats and then claimed that Martin Baker invented them suggests that aviation isn’t his speciality!

I echo what mr marsh says about the hurricanes. I’m sure next years 75th anniversary of the BOB may see such an event.

Without drifting the thread somewhat – does anybody have any updates on the thruxton and Hawker restorations hurris?? Would have thought at least one of the 3 may have flown this year….

An update on HAC’s Fury would be good, too! I had hoped it would make it’s display debut at legends.

I am trying to find a decent review of Paul Coggans P-51 mustang restored about LiL Magaret, and Hidden Warbirds by Nicholas A. Veronico
Has any one got these books and what are your opinions. I only have enough of the folding stuff to buy one book so i would like to make an informed decision

Mustang Restored is excellent! Lots of beautiful photographs of a beautiful restoration.
I’d also like to put a good word in for Spitfire by the test pilot Jeffrey Quill

As a kid I never thought I’d ever see an F-86 fly. So thank u to all concerned for the opportunity! Here’s to many more years of her being up where she belongs

It has Geoffrey deHavilland signature in a book I have about the DH88 and he spelt it with a lower case ‘d’

Lovely old aeroplane! Always thought it looked more like a dolphin than a hawk though!
