The fact that Dan Snow researched (presumably!) for a piece about ejection seats and then claimed that Martin Baker invented them suggests that aviation isn’t his speciality!
Haven’t seen any Meier Motor updates for ages
Which Buchon was it??
Posted on their Facebook page a week or so ago:
Thanks, Rob! Appreciate that!
I echo what mr marsh says about the hurricanes. I’m sure next years 75th anniversary of the BOB may see such an event.
Without drifting the thread somewhat – does anybody have any updates on the thruxton and Hawker restorations hurris?? Would have thought at least one of the 3 may have flown this year….
An update on HAC’s Fury would be good, too! I had hoped it would make it’s display debut at legends.
Isn’t this the Mossie on owed by the Fighter collection and before that the IWM Lambeth ?
That was TV959 now owned by by Paul Allen- as mentioned above
Saw this today
P.S. it was supposed to be a picture of a complete BE-2-But it didn’t upload!
Google can be very helpful I’ve found can’t it.
Every is ignorant-its just that we’re all ignorant about different things
Er…where did they come from?? And will they be flying??
I am trying to find a decent review of Paul Coggans P-51 mustang restored about LiL Magaret, and Hidden Warbirds by Nicholas A. Veronico
Has any one got these books and what are your opinions. I only have enough of the folding stuff to buy one book so i would like to make an informed decision
Mustang Restored is excellent! Lots of beautiful photographs of a beautiful restoration.
I’d also like to put a good word in for Spitfire by the test pilot Jeffrey Quill
Google Maps says it’s 25.5 miles
Thanks very much!
As a kid I never thought I’d ever see an F-86 fly. So thank u to all concerned for the opportunity! Here’s to many more years of her being up where she belongs
It has Geoffrey deHavilland signature in a book I have about the DH88 and he spelt it with a lower case ‘d’
What a hell of a story! And Michael Parkinson gets a knighthood for talking! Where’s the sense in that??
Lovely old aeroplane! Always thought it looked more like a dolphin than a hawk though!
