But the forecast was always good for Saturday 🙂
Oh, for goodness sake! It gets even worse! Their displays are usually on Sundays, so guess what…?
REALLY wish I had checked:(

OMG! I didn’t go coz I believed the weather forecast!
It’s incredible! I DO hope it paints it in EXACTLY the right colours, though!, :diablo:
No idea about the start-up arrangements, but was told by a volunteer a couple of weeks ago that there is no chance of it flying this year as there is a problem with the “undercarriage hinges” that were recently delivered
‘Yeager’ is good (I’ll let you guess who it’s about!)
Thanks for the reply!
Just one more question;
Did I read somewhere that you are building the new wing with some washout in it Like the American replica? If you are, will that cause any problems with CAA?

Are you going to use strengthened undercarriages as Shuttleworth are doing with Grovesnor House?
Very best of luck to you!
Spoke to a volunteer at the previous OW show and was told there is no chance of the DH88 flying this year as there is problem with It’s undercarriage hinges
Fantastic idea! Please make this happen!
The Genet that we fitted to the Mk1 Avro Cadet that we did for the Irish Air Corps museum at Baldonell (Casement) had a hand turn start Mag. Again the suckin part is the same but the trick is to get the required “Just past Top Dead Centre” at the right place. Turn the cockpit handle furiously and “Hey Presto!!” it bursts into song.
Was this aeroplane grounded then? I thought they were going to use it for flying displays.
And if the skid didn’t come down for landing it could be a back-breaker
There was an issue with the Blenheim. I don’t remember it precisely, but it was something to do with the propeller pitch control which could be confused with the undercarriage control (or similar-hoping to jog someone else’s memory!)
