Wondering if the Bomber Command Hall roof supports will be appearing at Flying Legends 2013? …. 😉

    … I’ll get my coat

The ‘Legends’ one has completely worn away!

“More likely in the dark in the Bomber Command Hall behind some roof supports”

Wow. That old chestnut. I suppose it would have been better if the Museum hadn’t bothered and you had to go all the way to NZ to see them?

Personally, I think the forum would be dreadful without occasional humour

I may be in the minority, but I didn’t think much of it. And is there some law that says British aircraft documentaries MUST claim that MB invented the ejector seat?

I may be a bit prejudice, but that Snipe looks fantastic.

Covered in ‘The Aucklander’ article linked to in the Wings Over NZ thread, and I think in the ‘Mosquito Rollout’ thread on this forum.
Keith Skilling and Dave Phillips will be test pilots.

    Thanks, Errol!

That’s beautiful! Does anyone (here!) know who will be flying it?

After reading the article it seems doubtful to me that it will visit the UK on the way to the USA. Thats not to say it might not make the journey from the US to the UK at some time in the future. That it is nearly time to see a Mossie back in the air again is the main thing:)

Selfish ******s like me who have arcane reasons for it to be somewhere it cant, will have to put up with it:D

Jerry Hagenuk has said that if it’s ready during the northern hemisphere’s winter (as seems likely) it will go to the states first and come over to Britain at a later date-but he will definitely bring it over at some point

In an ideal world I would love to see a spitfire anniversary display with all the aircraft in temporary schemes showing all the air forces that used them (but I wouldn’t want to pay for it!)
