I just wanted to say that I am well aware of the fact that the Viggen doesn’t share the same timeframe as the Lightning or Hunter. I was just pre-empting the ‘British is Best’ brigade!
I think it was fantastic, although (obviously) nowhere near as good as the Lightning or Hunter:diablo:
Thanks for postings Well done to all concerned
Hope he doesn’t sell it before it flies
It is a beautifully presented mk1 Spitfire, and I can’t wait to get a copy of Andy’s book and see that aeroplane up where she belongs.
Several B-58s and B36s would do for me
I thought it was well known that Britain got a huge empire by lots of hugging and giving puppies away!:D
Didn’t I read somewhere that the yellow cowling was copied from a photo and later turned out to be primer?
In a recent issue of Aeroplane it said that the Comet will be flying from Duxford next year
I’d prefer to see them both at OW. There’s just ‘something’ about that place
All the above, -and great display by the 2 Daks!
I went in 2002 and would go again just to see ‘Fifi’ fly!-fuel leaks kept her grounded that year IIRC
Duxford Friday July 8th: Today’s highlight was not related to Legends. Spitfire I G-MKIA / P9374 was rolled out for an engine run around 1600: More photos shortly.

Thanks very much for this!-would be great to see it on the flightline! (here’s hoping!)
Forgive my ignorance but is the Red Bull P38 the one that used to race at Reno called White Lightning?
Hey, you got it right!-that’s not ignorant!
