A Spitfire (i’m almost certain it was Peter Teichmann’s Mk11) circling over Morrison’s in Panshanger -it’s not something you see every day!
Tell me you are writing a book, Resmoroh!!
I did a HU last week on it!- fascinating programme!:)
I would’ve been fine-i used to practice the ‘Duck and Cover’!! (Which sounds like the name of a pub, now i think about it!)
It would be good if HLF could pop in a DB!-i guess thats an awful lot more work, though
It seems very strange that FW are allowed to sell aircraft that have not been properly flight tested
Personally, i’ve heard much worse commentary!-that overly posh twit that used to do the commentary at Old Warden for one-and is it SO surprising that a Frenchman is not up to speed on Cockney rhyming slang?
Apparently, the other replica (using some original parts) is to found at Kosice Airport, Slovakia
Thats beautiful, Fotunatus!-but i’m sure i read in a recent magazine that there are 2 replicas extant- i will do some digging!
I enjoyed it, but, (apart from the ‘190) the highlight for me was the display by the 2 Cubs! it was a great display by 2 very skilled pilots (didn’t catch their names, though)
Fantastic shots there Anna 😎 Do you know who owns the first two spitfire’s also am I right in saying the 1st one is a grffin powered spitfire in RAF colours based in Singapore?
If I was there I would say the highlight is the 3 ship B-25 formation shame they not got the Red Bull one over.
Just wondering was the BBMF there?
Regards
James
Yes, the BBMF was there, but just a Hurricane (PZ865) and a Mk 19 Spitfire- the Lanacaster is due at today’s show
I wouldn’t blame you If you were looking really smug right now, Andy!!-and good luck with collecting your winnings!!
Going to take my chances tomorrow too-there’s supposed to be a wind getting up on Sunday, and knowing my luck it’ll be right across the runway!!-bald and walking with a limp if anyone wants to say hello!-hope you all have a great weekend-and lets just hope its a nice, safe display
Thanks Piston Power-what the wind on Sunday?-looks like its going to be Picking up
Cars have tailpipes too!-anyway, can any of the local guys tell us what day is likely to be best (weather-wise?)
