Thanks very much Dave!-appreciate the info!
That looks good!-So it’s an add-on?-and what’s FSUIPC, then?
Thanks, people!-am i right in thinking you can’t do combat on FSX?-I like to be non-pc on my pc, if you know what i mean
I did speak to one of the people at the de havilland museum after reading that one of the engines on the prototype has (or will be) restored to runable condition, he said that it’s true, but that they wouldn’t run it, because of the museum’s proximity to houses
My understanding is that their Junkers Jumo 004 engines suffered from a lack of nickle and this made them susceptible to overheating problems-i also think they might’ve had fuel pump issues because the pilots could not be carefree with the throttle without risking a flame-out (although this was a problem for all the early jets). Some have also suggested that sabotage (perpetrated by the slave labour forced to build them) may well have been been a factor
I do hope it’s done in time for that film!
So can someone confirm that it IS being “put to bed for the winter?”
The T-38 just looks so good, though!!
Why do people assume that the average Japanese person agreed with the need to go to war?- are people so blinded by mis-directed anger that they think that the entire Japanese race should’ve been wiped out just because they were lead into a war by an extreme right wing regime that even Yamoto knew they couldn’t win?
Doesn’t that depend on your definition of classic?-looking forward to the Paul Allen’s Me-262 and He-111, Comet ‘Black Magic’ the Planes of Fame Airacomet and Jerry Yeagen’s Mosquito, Tupolev R-6 and Ki-61, myself
Thats great news!-thanks, Robbo!
According to Captain Eric Brown (who flew just about all of them) The Me262 was, (in his opinion) “The most formidable aircraft of World War 2”
To be fair, you don’t have quite the population density in New Zealand, do you?
I mentioned the Thunderjet in a thread a while ago-there is an issue with the engines, i was told (something to do with them being worn out or ‘lifed’ or something)
Thanks for clearing that little mystery up for me, ‘Regal!-i should’ve put my glasses on!
