speaking of which, does anyone have any pics of turrets and tail guns firing? I’ve been looking but can never find any
Thanks mate, so how are the three going that returned to service?, You have to admit that Sweden does build beautiful planes!
I will check Historic section for future updates!
Fair enough Art, can you provide any pics of these different PC models so that I can see them?
again good pics mate. you make this Gripen fan very happy 🙂
Tell me do you happen to have any pics of the Tunnen in your collection or the Lansen?
I know that it’s Russian in origin, the pain on the inside gives it away. I can see something through the window just were the first of the three carts are. It looks like a Tu-22M3 or something. Maybe I need new glasses!
Elp: mate I sometimes worry about you 😛
Sorry I thought that the Greeks wanted to train fighter pilots who may be called to war! This is what the T-50 would do, yes I see it in a different class, the same class as the T-38 actually, which leads me to say that I see the T-38 being replaced by the T-50 in USAF service.
I doubt the HAF would want anything less than the best quallity in their service!
Hahahahaha, you jammy goit, you got something on them, hahahaha yes I’m impressed but where are the C212’s? You’re not a champion yet!
Art: Mate IIRC the main difference between the 7’s and the 9’s, was that the 9’s had a stepped cockpit where as the 7’s had the pilot trainee and the commander sitting in lineon the same level, right?
Also if I’m not mistaken, the 7’s have a slightly smaller cockpit and smaller cockpit length than the 9’s, right?
:Edit: Also looking at a couple of pics I have here, the 7’s canopy is a two piece arangment that slides back, where as the 9’s canopy is clearly a one piece bubble that tilts to the side with a band in the middle for support!
PC-7
PC-9
Damd man, Michael Jordan could slam dunk those wheels!
When I first heard about the trainers that Australia was buying to replace the CT-4B’s and MB-326H’s with I didn’t know what they were, mind you I was only a kid back then. At roughly the same time the RAF was buying new trainers to replace their Jet Provosts.
The RAAF opted for the PC-9A/A1’s and the RAF opted for the Embraer Tucano. Superficially they look very much the same (I used to confuse them all the time), but I liked the PC-9 better because it had a smaller canopy than the Tucano did. These days, now that I’m a lot more wiser in the way of military issues I’d take an Embraer any day!
She does? A lady of taste.
That has yet to be proven 😛
Maybe she’ll enjoy this one: it can’t get much more exotic than the Swaziland air force…
1. I think she will mate, she’s asleep atm (it’s 02:42 here atm) so what I’ll do is save it as a wall paper and suprise her with it!
2. Swaziland mate you almost win the cake, if you can provide a Lesotho Defence Force C212-300 I’ll declare you the ultimate champion!
:EDIT: Also if you can find a pic of a Kenyan AF F-5 with Nose guns firing, I will not only call you champion but not worthy of anything less than godhood!
Well they could end up with T-50’s!
Pitty it’s photoshopped!
My missus is gonna love you, she loves the Arava!
