What I’d like to know is where you got your information from, the NK’s are very secreative about what they have, Not even Jane’s (which is considered a Global Authority in defence matters) know’s what’s going on in there

I saw the footage earlier tonight, OMG it was so cool, 16 were tailing one of the planes at one stage (guess it must have been an F-5).

More proof that we are not alone- actually to think that we are alone is absurd, I mean look at how we’ve treated ourselves throughout the ages, what would these aliens think of that?

Well you guys should serve in a Blue Water Navy, then maybe you’ll understand what I mean, I remember my time in the navy where we’d just put our heads down for sleep then the capt would run a drill just to see if we could keep up the pace. I once did a three day stretch without sleep because of duties and drills.

Srbin: Japan can’t export any military hardware anyway due to a constitutional agreement made when they lost the war, the US controls all of the exports in Japan anyway!

PII: thanks mate, you know me, always interested in other stuff, bit like you really 😉

FTD: I love this pic out of all the ones I have (and I have a few), yes that is a Cobra tail and yes that is Mt Fuji there also, this was a publicity shot for the promotion of the craft- that’s not a real one there sadly 🙁 and all the references I’ve found so far has it called the Ninja.

Distiller: Thanks mate I couldn’t remember if it was Kawa or Mitsu but I know that both companies have bits in it!

Harry: Mate I’ve just been reading up that India wants to buy, not only two attrition planes for the two that were lost over Goa, but a further batch more (up to 10 possibly 14 more), do you know anything about this? Thought that they were getting the green light from the US on P-3C’s has that been canned too?

Oh hush Art, it’s inspiring because of the peace and tranquillity that rarely comes in service life, admire the view not analise and critique the picture, man makes me wish everyone had served so that they know what the blazes I’m talking about.

Actually I have a question (should have posted it with the pic), the Lightning was capable of over wing stores as was the Sea Vixen and today they have the Jag’s. What I want to know is what other planes had this capability?

Sorry to mention it here, but I posted a little piece about the Irish Navy in the “Naval thread”

They actually have a very impressive naval arm 🙂 It’s on either page 12 or 13 in that thread.

That pick is from just before the Op Desert Storm when the American forces were building up Desert Shield. At the time Oman had only four of thier hawks and this pic shows a training sortie to gain proficiencies in IFR
