Interesting: Graham Poll was on the morning show here today resigning himself to never being a ref again. He said that he watched the game on DVD after the match and he couldn’t believe his mistake, he admitted that the players had gotten to him (especially Simunic who would not stop yelling at him and his size was very intimidating as well). Mr Poll said that after 26 years being a ref making these kids of mistakes is inexcusable and he’ll be lucky to have a future as a ref. He did beg the Australian Team and more importantly the Australian people for forgiveness.

Paul, the Ref in the Portugal V Holland match was the same ref as the one presiding over Australia V Italy. I saw all the matches up untill we lost out and he has always made dodgy calls! They were talking about it on morning tv down here and they even checked Spanish websites and the Spainish were angry over his calls (the ref came from Spain you see).

What good would it do if we had of protested, there are so many calls throughout the entire series that FIFA seemed to have ignored, our game came to a farcical end and FIFA won’t lift a finger because they aren’t interested in small countries playing in the finals, it’s Countries like Argentina, Brazil, England and Germany who bring in the money because it is bigger than religion to them.

Well I hope the Italians choke on their spaghetti, My ex-wife would be jumping up and down right now, if I was near her she’d be rubbing my face in salt! We’ll be back and next time it will be the Italians who will go down to the right calls from educated refs!

I’ve just been discussing the situation with others from around the world, we have come to the same conclussion: HOLLYWOOD has B grade actors compaired to FOOTBALL. Now I know why these players get such high saleries, it’s not so much for their playing abilities but for their acting skills, the more convincing the artificial injury the better chance they have of fooling the ref’s. Each time they fool a ref, their salery goes up!

I have made a little pic to discribe the feelings down here in Australia, please enjoy it and pass it around to everyone.

Dubya: mate I seriously think it’s time for your medication!

The TNI-AU are in the middle of buying more Flankers (they have four, 2x Su-30’s and 2x Su-27’s). They recently have committed to buying another 42 flankers. Calling Indfonesia a “Toothless Tiger” is a very dangerous call. Their navy is also being modernised, though at a slower pace, but they have a lot of potent corvette’s. And calling their Army a Police force, guess you’ve never seen these guys in action.

Our Pigs might be old but they have proven that they can still pack a punch! Don’t write them off so quickly.

WE GOT DONE The Italian player clearly fell over Neill. Guess it goes to show that you don’t have to be the best footballer in the world, just the best actor.

And the ref even had his whistle in his mouth over the challenge between Bresciano and the same player in while the italian player pushed Bresciano out of the way, WHAT THE…… Guess the ref would rather go home and have a been than play the extra time!

Perhaps they might pick up a few Super Sea Sprites from the RAN, once the defective electronics are removed.

That won’t work either mate, our SH-2G(A)’s are very different to any other SH-2G out there, we only have a two man crew and such high computer technology. While the two man crew is an advantage over the normal three man crew, the computer technology being crammed in the airframe is so high, it’s like steping our of a DC-3 and into a C-17. The cost of removing the new technology and replacing it with more common equpiment in any of the G models, actually prevents this as a viable option to anyone- even Australia, Sadly we have to press forward because it’s too hard to go back.

Here’s an interesting comparission between the two cockpits that I have found:
    http://www.armada.ch/99-1/bilder/012.jpg

It says underneath the pic: An SH-2G cockpit before and after Litton SMDF treatment as selected by Australia, which also suits the requirements of the US Navy SH-60R/CH-60. The suite has also been selected for the Italian EH101 and for demonstrations on aeroplanes like the B-1B, F/A-18, EA-6B and F-15

I saw all the matches that Trinidad and Tobago played, they did well and I would think that we haven’t seen the last of them, but yes there have been a lot of calls aginst the smaller up and coming football nations or even calls that have fallen on deaf ref ears. I imagine that FIFA are really going to be watching who they choose for the the games in 2010.
