I seriously doubt that the RAAF will get any version of the Eagle at any stage, and the Tomcat 21 program died just like the King (though I still don’t know why Elvis is called the King), let them go!

That’s right mate, our J models are being constantly updated (to the point of once a month) with new flight software. It’s getting to the point that the RAAF are looking at referb the H models and sending them in and sending the J’s back for referbed H models- a very unlikly senario I grant you.

I actually think the C-17 will gain more orders, there’s just something about the A-400M which isn’t adding up and I think that a lot of people are going to be disapointed in it (not that I want the C-17 to gain more, personally i’d prefer the An-124 to get another go especially with Western avionics and engines- could you imagine an An-124 with Trent 1000’s)?

Why is the Nigerian Navy MEKO 360 refered to as a Frigate and the Argentine versions refered to as Destroyers? What I find interesting is the fact that the serial numbers are 01-F89 and 02-F89 indicating the helo number and the ship that they serve on.

Last I heard the Nigerian Navy Lynx Mk.89’s were both still in service aboard thgeir MEKO 360 ship the NNS Aradu F-89

Wasn’t there a G model as well, this was more for testing and sampling soil after a nuke strike or something, I remember reading about it some time ago.

Australia has four D models impounded up in Darwin along with a couple of Mig 21’s that were the main tools of the Sandline Corperation. Last I heard they were rusting away but they wanted to sell them off so that the government could use the money.

When does the Eurohawk look like it will enter service? We down here are looking at buying them in 2008 with deliveries of the first around 2010. There is some talk about these being equiped with some form of weapons (possibly Penguins or torpedos) but I think that’s a total load.

What will the Marien do with the old Atlantics? Is anyone out there interested in second hand planes this type? Pakistan perhaps? Though they are getting more Orions so I bet they will retire their old Atlantic 1’s.
