I don’t often agree with George Galloway, but in this case the odious little man has a point, as in my post #27…

… Pass a law saying it’s illegal to be Jewish, and as you say, this means they lose all their human rights and be tortured or executed for their crime…
It wasn’t illegal to be Jewish in Nazi Germany – the hundreds of anti-Jewish laws passed in the 1930s and 40s were mainly designed to prevent them from working in law, the arts, media, medicine, and owning property etc. There was no law forbidding people to be Jewish!
Human rights didn’t apply to Jews either, as they were declared ‘untermensch’ by the Nazis – subhuman.
Interestingly, my lot would have been carted off in cattle trucks too, had Britain been successfully invaded – the Nazis considered the Picts from eastern Scotland to be ‘untermensch’.
Shows how twisted their ideology was however, as the Picts were of German and Scandinavian origin – hunter gatherers who came across the land bridge nearly 10,000 years ago before the North Sea filled with water…

Shouldn’t we confine the debate to people who have actually existed?
Old JC has never appeared in ANY contemporary historical records – the first mention of the character happens a long time after his supposed resurrection.
Roman records have even been found bearing the names of people crucified by Pilate – and guess what… no mention!

No fluoridation loss of essence here – my tap water comes from a natural spring!;)
No Jim, it definitely wasn’t Time Team – I’m a great fan, and have around 86 of them to watch on my TV at home!
Although the apparatus the scientists used was very similar to Baldrick’s ‘Geofiz’ scanner, I’m sure the documentary was more about the science of decaying flesh, and its importance to forensics.
The documentary also showed pig cadavers in various stages of decomposition on a hillside somewhere – it may have been this series…

I used to have a huge amount of respect for the police, but not so much these days.
It seems like motorists and the general tax-paying public are easy prey to inflate their ‘collar’ statistics, while they appear very reluctant to get ‘stuck in’ to real criminals like drugs dealers, burglars, rioters, looters, and pikies.
Let dreary admin bods do the bulk of the beat constable’s paperwork, so that more time can be spent on the streets, and give every policeman on the street a firearm after extensive training.
Once criminals have been convicted, their human rights should end on being taken down.
Bring back the death penalty for clear cut cases of unmitigated murder, and make all prisoners pay for their keep by digging roads, removing graffiti etc in chain gangs.
Prisons should not be cosy places with TV, internet, conjugal visits, etc, but a harsh environment with corporal punishment for miscreants, making them the last place offenders want to return to…

It’s a good thing his sort doesn’t come along too often, but who knows how many latent psychopaths are out there waiting for a seemingly innocuous trigger.
He’ll still be pulling the strings long after his final breath, but in my book he’d be an ideal candidate for his body parts to be utilised for modern forensic research.
A recent TV article showed a science team successfully mapping out unmarked graves in a very old cemetery, using advances in scanning for electrolytes in the soil changed by the presence of a cadaver.
Maybe that’ll help find the poor lad…

One of the allegations from one of the women is that he didn’t use a condom when she had previously insisted he did – is that rape? The other claims he pressed ‘himself’ against her? Get a grip, so to speak – at the moment, they are only claims.
Ecuador is a democratic country, standing up for international diplomatic laws against embullient US and UK tactics.

Let’s face it, the crimes he has to face in Sweden may be local news, but certainly wouldn’t be of worldwide interest. He hasn’t been charged with a crime, and even the Swedish government has said they have no legitimate reason to seek Assange’s extradition. It’s just an excuse to ‘get him’ on something.
It’s very easy to call him a coward, but what are the alternatives? Hand himself in so that the full might of some miffed American court can imprison him for life, or execute him?
The UK government will do anything to ingratiate themselves to the US – and even go so far as to violate international diplomatic laws and conventions, which could have much more serious implications worldwide.
My best wishes to Mr Assange…
