Not an airshow but a Norbert in my local going back 20 years or so, who claimed he had been a Navy Officer on board the old HMS Ark Royal when it was equipped with Lightnings. I tried to explain, but to no avail. In the end I accepted his story and nodded knowingly !!!!

HK552 was on a communications raid in support of the D-Day landings to Chevreuse to the south of Paris. The aircraft was shot down by a night fighter and crashed at Montchauvet (Yvesline) 13 Km SSW of the town Mantes le Jolie.

Mantes le Jolie is to the West of Paris and looking at Night Fighter claims for that evening it appears that three 4 engined aircraft were shot down in the Mantes area. 8/NJG5 Lt Gerhard Wagner claimed two one at 02.03 and another at 02.06 and 9/NJG4 Lt Hromadnik claimed one at 02.24.

The raid comprised of 337 aircraft, 195 Halifaxes 122 Lancaster and 20 Mosquitoes.

They were tasked to attack targets at Achères, Juvisy, Massey-Palaiseau and Versailles. Bombing conditions were much improved on previous nights and all targets were accurately bombed. However the targets were mostly more distant from the battle front than those recently bombed and the Night Fighter defences had more time to intercept. 17 Lancasters, 11 Halifaxes were lost.

Firstly as has been said before, get a good solicitor or at the least speak to citizen’s advice. It sounds like you are a victim in this as much as the creditors, so you will need to find as much information and documentation that you can to prove your case.

If you are paying the mortgage or own your property it should be fairly easy to prove that this woman has no legal right to borrow against it. If she has taken out a mortgage against the property then the banks are at fault for not checking that she has the legal right. You maybe able to take issue with the finance company/s for not undertaking sufficient due diligence to prove that this women is who she says she is, and that she is able to service the loans that she has taken out.

However today £20,000 is a smallish amount in real terms, basically a couple of credit cards or a personal loan, if she has no legal right to your home, and you have not signed as guarantor then I would say that the banks have no claim against your property or you, even if she is/was your tenant.

If at any point you have had a relationship with this woman and it can be proven, I believe it has to be for more than 6 months, then English Common Law comes into play and this may have a bearing on your claims, in any case it is very important that you speak to a legal brain at the earliest possible instance.

Joseph and Étienne Montgolfier, first public demonstration of their hot air balloon was on 4 June 1783. They didn’t really understand the physics behind their invention. They thought it was the smoke that made the baloon rise, in fact they thought the denser the smoke the high the balloon would fly. It wasn’t until a few years later that it was realised that in fact it was hot air and not smoke that provided the lift.
