OK guys, I’ve avoided contributing to this thread until now because of the flames that have occurred but I think I need to put things straight.
Kev posted the original thread because of a discussion we had had a couple of nights ago about a number of idle threats that had been handed out to me by another forum member (who I will keep nameless). In our conversation I had remarked that I didn’t think there was much the Mods could do about such a situation because PM’s were between two people, and by the nature of the Private Message facility private.
Kev suggested that I ask the question, but I declined because I was aware that it could flame the issues that I have with this person and his cohort. I will add at this point that at no time has Flood, Nermal or Erin issued any threats to me of physical violence, it was someone as far as I know independent of their clique.
Kev posted the thread with the good intention of establishing where the Mods and the Forum stood on such a matter, I can honestly say that Nermal and Colonial have got the wrong end of the stick, at no point was Kev suggesting Flood had metered out the threats. Standing back and looking at what has been posted, Nermal has immediately jumped in with both feet and gone to the defence of Flood where no defence was required, it was a genuine question, requiring a straight forward answer. Namely where do we stand if threats have been made by one forum member to another. And yes Nermal I did send you a contentious PM because you jump into a thread with all guns blazing without thinking.
Colonial it is admirable that you defend Flood, which we would expect. But I would again re-iterate that he didn’t need defending because he was not in anyway involved in the threats handed out, “that I know of”.
The reason I believe it was levelled at Flood in the first place was because he is perceived to be the dominant moderator on this forum, this is not detrimental to Frank, you’ve only have to look at the majority of the moderators posts at the top of this forum to understand why. I believe Frank now has this in hand.
I have liaised with Frank on the issue of the threats and it is now closed with no further action being taken. That is unless the person concerned issues more threats then we will review the situation again.

Where’s Johnny Johnson in this list ?
Ah found him, though not with the British Aces
Good question
I don’t have the full facts to hand but I believe Poland and France were signatories to the Treaty of Locarno. Under the terms of the treaty France, Germany and Belgium agreed to accept their borders as were stated in the Treaty of Versailles. France and Belgium would never repeat an invasion of the Ruhr and Germany would never attack Belgium or France again. Britain and Italy agreed to police this part of the treaties. Germany also accepted that the Rhineland must remain demilitarised.
In other treaties, France promised to protect Belgium, Poland and Czechoslovakia if Germany attacked any one of them. Germany, Britain, France, Italy, Belgium, Poland and Czechoslovakia all agreed that they would never fight if they had an argument between themselves they would allow the League to sort out the problem.
By the end of September, Germany and Russia had defeated Poland. Everyone expected Hitler to attack to the west however on 6 October, Hitler offered peace.
Britain and France made no effort to attack Hitler. The BEF (4 divisions – 158,000 men with 25,000 vehicles – departed Britain on 11 Sept, however it was too small and not well equipped to challenge the Nazi army. France’s strategy was dominated by the Maginot line. It has been said that if the French and British had attacked Germany as soon as possible there was very little the Germans could have done, all their forces were committed in the east.
This period became the phoney war. Britain was able to consolidate its preparations for war and strengthen home defences. All this was shattered in early May 1940 when the German army, not for the last time blasted its way though the Ardennes and out flanked the Maginot line.

There was the infamous accident at RIAT about 10 years ago when one Mig 29 sliced through the other.
Seven 😉
Nearly as many threads complaining about the flippin stickies as the stickies themselves.
I had this debate with some of our Colonial friends about their airshows being tedious because of the constant tail chase, however after seeing that, maybe they have a point. Thank-fully I had my back to the accident at Duxford in 2003, thanks to the veterans from 609 Sqn
Please !!! The last thing I want to be is combined together with Anna.
Incredible piece of footage, I noticed in the current issue of Flight Magazine “which I was flicking through in WHS earlier today”, that the Russians have grounded all of their MIG29’s pending an investigation, following a fatal crash.
Which part of “this has been done to death” don’t you understand ?
VoyTech, is Teofil Szymankiewicz the Szymankiewicz who was killed in a 316 Sqn Mustang in early 1945 ?
Did we? Haha. How the hell did we get away with that? Was there any coffee left?
I just followed you, being a celebrity you get let in everywhere 😉
Nice video, even with the fire engines.
Snapper and I walked into the Flypast tent a couple of years ago, no one stopped us. Just goes to show they let anyone in.
You do get a “free” buffet !!!!
