Should have looked me up, I only live around the corner and am a member of the club.
Kev35 and I spent a short while there on Monday.
Mike Collett brings the Anson G-VROE home often though his preferred form of aeronautical carriage is either a Citation or a twin piston engined Cessna that I have no idea what type
It belongs to Air Atlantique, the company chairman is Jersey born and still lives in the Island. He sometimes brings the Anson home, other times it’s a Citation, company car.
When were these taken ?
What is the small intake just visible on PS915 above “the Last” for? I note that it is not present on PS890, maybe because the engine came from a Shackleton ?
You’ve got my photos to come yet, Snapper.
Could be worse, could be O  W
I bet the all round vision is improved tremendously by having not having the windscreen bracing, the canopy does look slightly flatter as well.
Steve believe me it’s a great feeling as more and more information comes to light and the picture starts to build. It was a mad rush home to see what new piece of gen would be waiting for us.
Keep up the good work
Ian

Hang on a minute… are you really saying the RAF’s tanker force is to be civilian owned and operated? What next, Typhoon Squadron Plc? 😮
It seems that way Steve, part of the contract is that they can be put to other commercial uses when not needed by the RAF.
The Rapide G-AGTM did indeed land on the beach- memories of the time that Viv Bellamy had make an emergency landing on the beach at Biarritz in appalling weather in G-AIYR circa 1960.
Did the model in 609 markings have anything to do with it ?
Reading a copy of Aviation News (can I say that here) I notice that the MOD has selected the Thales UK proposal for the RAF’s Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft.
These new build A330’s will be operated by Thales on behalf of the RAF and are due to come on line in early 2008.

Long shot, maybe a Potez ?
