Try and find a 1996 or later car, as the first year ’95s had a problem with the valve guides, and these fail at an accelerated rate. No problem with a Spyder, but I would avoid the F1 transmission in the F355. Stick with the 6 speed (it’s fantastic). The F1 transmission is much improved in the F360.

Ferraris have been the cheapest cars I have ever owned, as they have either appreciated in value or very nearly held their own.

Thanks Steve, it’ll be a little while before I have enough pennies, got more pressing priorities first. I’d avoid the flappy paddle type F1 transmission anyhow I tend to believe that real sports cars should have a manual gearbox.

Now THAT’S a car and a half, EN!

With taste like that, how come you bought a banana-coloured Teutonic tractor!?! 😮

He sold it for in excess of $1.2m, unfortunately even if I had sold the house I wouldn’t have able to afford it. in his garage he also had a D type and a Maseratti all of which at some time raced at Le Mans.

The Yellow Peril is a bit more practical as a day to day car, I am however looking for a F355, but it won’t be for a little while yet. It has to be a convertable as well to please the present Mrs EN830

No we were at the Methodist church for some obscure reason at ‘lectures’ about the existance of God and the concept of Utilitarianism.

Actually after looking through the books I reckon that this machine maybe this 58 Sqn machine, whose code was GE. I’ve done a search on the crew on the CWGC website and none are listed !!!!

Another 2 Whitley’s were lost on the same evening one from 58 Sqn, T4145

Yes QR-P but from the information that I have it crash landed in Sweden, I still think that this aircraft is more likely to be OL-P

Checking Bomber Command Squadrons the Sqn Code was QR, and it appears that GL was never issued as a bomber sqn Code. I think in the picture it maybe a trick of the light

This could be P1171 OL-P of 83 Sqn lost on 1/2 July 1940
