Why change the facts, when the facts are just as interesting if not more so than the fiction they insert. They always has to be a love interest, a token ethnic minority, a token Gay, and the English are always the bad guys even though they are in reality Americas staunchest Allie

He was bowing before greatness, as all serfs should do

World series, where were France, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Canada, Russia, China. etc… in this so called World Series.
It was very ingratiating seeing Snapper bow to the feet of greatness.
Or in Braveheart, when he was being hung, drawn and quarterd by orders of Edward I.
Ah yes a great film, shame that Edward Longshanks didn’t die until 1307, 2 years after Wallace was captured and killed (1305). His son the Prince of Wales (Edward 11) didn’t marry the sister of the King of France, Princess Isabella until 1308 three years after William Wallace died. It was Isabella who with her lover Roger Mortimer who finally over threw Edward 11 and had him killed at Berkeley Castle in 1327 and his/their son Edward 111 took the throne, he tore up the treaty of Northampton which had recognised Scottish idependance and by 1333 he had regained control of Scotland and avenged Bannockburn.
It’s a shame that Hollywood chooses to alter history beyond all recognition.
