Ian, you’re coming to Chailey with a gun?
It wasn’t me who said that you looked like Christopher Biggins, it was Flood, he made me do it, he made me post the photo of the bouncy castle too. I’ve always liked you and I think that you make a valuable contribution to the forum, in fact, it really wouldn’t be the same without you.
Rob
Yeah like I believe you, are there any decent pubs nearby that we could meet for a drink afterwards?
they don’t teach spelling at school now then?
Despite the threats about seeing how fast I can travel and whether or not I can achieve VR in my wheelchair, I will still attend Legends on the Sunday. The V1 ramp may be an idea, perhaps I could get some air to air shots of the Balbo?
Regards,
kev35
That would make for some very interesting formation shots.
P51, Spitfire, Hurricane, Wheelchair, P47, Nimrod………..
I’ll be there on both days. I’m bringing along Sqn Ldr Franek Kornicki and his wife on the Saturday. He commanded 317 Sqn just prior to their move to Chaily in Feb 44 and had also flown HAC’s Spitfire Vb BM597 during his time with 315 Sqn at Woodvale in 1942.
Another former 597 pilot Flt/Lt Wladislaw (Joe) Zajaรง has offered me his service revolver, which I hope to pass onto HAC for safe keeping at Chailey.
Robbo and I will be at the Red Lion after Legends on the Saturday Evening. Will anyone else be there?
Yeah Yeah there will be peanut brittle if you turn up the following morning for breakfast, however we’re talking a post airshow pint and a natter. Plus the chance to get a photo of more Forumites than this last pic following our quest for DX maltesers.
(‘inn’ joke, you had to be there)
I’ll be there and on the Sunday morning.
Congratulations Geforce and of course of interest to us all, we like to hear of success.
What gauge are the launch rails/tracks, and what would it take to adapt Kev’s wheel chair. Maybe a set of spacers and a large rubber band ? ๐
Sounds complicated
We could run a book on which county he lands in !!! ๐
The MG’s back in top fettle, so if we wait until the crowds have gone we might be able to carry out the original slingshot plan and get Kev airborne. Might need to erect a catch-net over near the land warfare hall though. Don’t worry Kev, I’ll find you a helmet mate.
I’ll have the Porsche with me, I think I may be able to hit 156 mph. If we were to rig him with some form of wing and tied him to the back, would this be enough to get him to the point of rotatation ?????.
Think you can only catch them in Norfolk, they don’t travel well.
And only sideways at that.
How?
Trouble is that you have to check with them before hand to make sure that they are ginger, the problem then is that as soon as they are aware of your interest and the reasoning behind it, they are out of there faster than an escaped turkey at Christmas.
East Berlin in 1984 was interesting at 8pm in the evening, it was like a ghost town compared to the Western side.
No don’t do that, they’ll throw prawns at you.
Or crabs.
Whos ginger? Thats a little politically incorrect, you can’t knock someone down just because they are ginger
I think you can
Article 69 sub section 56 of the Road Traffic (UK) 1933 act states that a person or persons pertaining to be of a fair complexion and proven to have natural ginger hair can be knocked down indiscriminately without fear of prosecution by the perpetrator.
