That’s better, you don’t want to upset the Suffolk Mafia.
York
Brest (I never tire of looking at Brest)
Angers
I agree with you on York, had to say that as my mother is from Yorkshire and scares the mire out of me.
Is that the correct spelling, I never get tired looking at them either but I think we maybe at cross purposes?
Generally I don’t like cities, too many people. I particularly hate London, can tolerate it for a day at the most and then I’ve got to get out into the country. The countryside is where the majority of the airfields are anyway and therefore aeroplanes.
He’ll love you for calling it a bench thingy
I’m maybe wrong and it’s a little while since I looked into his incident but I was under the impression that he was embarrassed because he had got disorientated/lost and had he landed in France thinking he was in the UK. This is not verbatim.
Just peanut brittle.
I’ll believe it when I see it!
Cheers Kev, hope to meet you this time “across the pond”…
All the Best,
Steve Patterson
Now, if we can just figure out how to get you in the back of a Sea Fury!
Not just Peanut Brittle this time, but kippers as well for Steve Rowell in Melbourne, we’re trying to put together a Red Cross parcel for him.
You could bring one of your national dishes Steve. Oh I forgot we can get them on most Street corners anyway, silly me.:D
Spot on Snapper !!! 😀
Cotton wool to the ears more like.
I was in a meeting at 3-ish this pm in Swindon.
I heard a heavy drone in the sky – and thinking it was maybe a Transall – or even an An-22 out of Lyneham, I was dying to go to the window to check.
But as we were in the middle of a discussion, I couldn’t – but I did catch a glimpse of a straight-winged piston a/c at medium altitude heading towards London – just before it entered cloud.
Must have been the same DC-6 ???
Ken
Don’t you find it a bitch when work interferes with your main interest ????
Anyone planning on meeting for a beer on the Saturday evening, the usual venue ?????
A step up from lighting ones farts 😀
I made enquiries about this a few years ago, I was told that P/O Harvey was so embarrassed by the incident he never spoke about it.
Maybe Mark12 can throw some light on it.
Would you really want to be Flood ?
Caption Comp!
And now to the 1940 lets see how many Germans we can get into Spitfire Competition, where the contest is really hotting up.
Nope – there was only one that fitted that description but I shall leave EN830 (now there is a give away!) to tell you about that aircraft! – Nermal
Thank you Nermal, but I’ve told the story so many times it’s getting boring, von Perthes could relate the same story and make it more interesting.
Are you really awe inspired by fame?
