Thanks Guys, I had been told that the Canadian built Hurricanes were fitted with Hamilton props, on which the hub was too large to have the standard spinner fitted.

Which is why when you see photo’s of these aircraft in RCAF services during WW2 they generally don’t have a spinners fitted.

Now that they have found their way into the hands of the restorers they have been fitted with an over large spinner which is slightly proud of the cowling.

Nice photos, however is it an optical illusion or is the Hurricanes spinner actually slightly wider then the front end of the engine cowling?
