You were obviously standing on one leg at the time (I’d gusss the left one). This is a common phenomenon when photos are taken on one leg.
Been a problem since the argument with the crocodile.
Any new pics/infos from Heron AORG? Was she at the Show?
Martin
No
4 Min display, nice and close from where I was stood.
is the vulcan on her way to jersey ?
Yep, left Brize at 15:00, arrived over St Helier 16:15, depart St Helier 16:19
I have a HP Designjet Z2100 Photo, a great machine but not cheap.
With 1 day to go the latest up date has been published, we’ve lost the AWACs and BBMF DC3 and gained the AN(yawn)2, still, it’s is free and I shouldn’t grumble.

Wasn’t too small for her the year she retired, I have video footage of her taking off from the airport.
This years time table has been published, and even a old cynic like me has to admit it’s pretty impressive for a freebie, with 40+ aircraft scheduled to take to the skies next Thursday.

Now do I sacrifice a virgin or a goat to the gods for good weather ?
On the news yesterday, Vulcan will be in Jersey but the airshow is still short of funds.
As hard as it maybe to swallow, if the big flying triangle doesn’t make it, maybe their funds shortage will be shorted.
Its a beautiful place to go and to live…lets hope they have some a/c engineering jobs there in a few years as its hard to live in a place like that as they have strict entry rules.
Aviation Beauport recently closed it’s engineering side with the loss of several jobs.
some of the hangers on.
I guess that’s several thousand hangers on then, as the event is free to watch !
Where did that come from?
I wonder if you misunderstood may post above. I was referring to XH558 being operated from Brize for the next few weeks. (most forthcoming displays are Sunday ones, which is problematical for operation from Waddington, because Waddo is closed on Sundays).
I stand corrected.
Perhaps the States should donate some of the 3% GST :diablo:Mark.
Yep, it’s reaped more than they thought it would, £5m in fact, so now they’re going to take it off food, but keep it on fuel and electricity.
Just guessing by the fact it appears it’s going to be out of action for a few weeks. Jersey is just over three weeks.
As to the funds, it’s no surprise that the airshow committee were appealing for an extra £40k this year !
I wonder if the usual mistake has been included in the book/s, that Bushell was shot down in a Hurricane instead of a 92 Sqn Spitfire. I believe this reoccurring error comes from so many researchers using Jonathan Vance’s book A Gallant Company as research material and duplicating his mistake.
Looks like it scuppered Jersey as well.
