I’ve had a number of emails and will be acquiring a couple of cameras today. It will move on to the first person on the list in a bit over a weeks time.

If the forum would like a third attempt I’ll acquire a camera tomorrow. I am scheduled to fly out to India on Tuesday morning for a week, and will take it with me to give it a nice start.

If anyone would like to be included on the list, drop me a note at en830(at)hotmail.co.uk., when I return I will forward it onto the next person on the list, they can then take their photograph and forward it onto to the next and so on. Hopefully that way we will be able to track it with out having to ask again on the forum. I’ll even publish the list here in the order the camera should flow.

    How does this sound ?????

I still like the idea of a photograph taken on or close to mid year, which appears to be July 2, unfortunately that’s a Monday, so can I suggest Sunday July 1st 2007 as the Historic Aviation Photograph A Day In The Year 2007 .

Oh and guess what this ties in with for starters :-
1st July 2007 – Summer Air Display – Old Warden, Bedfordshire, wherever that is, has one been, can anyone recommend it ??????;).

Good idea Bruce, after all this was the second attempt at this that went AWOL.

Can I suggest the weekend of week 26 of the year for no other reason than it is obviously the half way point (16th and 17th June) ????

I wonder if the previous disposable camra thread wa deleted because it became a slanging match !!!!

Guzzineil passed it on to Hatton, AJ passed it on, and then ?????

Didn’t it go north after Learning Slowly admitted to having it. I’ve done a search on the forum, but can’t find the relevant thread.

Pass to Snapper, as he instigated the whole thing and was a good friend of Steve’s.

In his defence Ollie is not the only one, Learning Slowly held onto it for a few months before passing it on.

Anyhow come on Ollie get off your **** and pass the damn thing on.

Why don’t we draw a line under this one, have it processed and maybe start a new one ?

Slightly further afield, we’re off to Goa next week. Is the Naval Aviation Musuem at Bogmalai Beach near Dabolim worth a visit ?

Someone passed this to me the other day, saying it was a good one for my new ipod, I don’t think so, totally incomprehensible lyrics:-

Manfred Mann – Blinded By the Light Lyrics

    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
    Madman drummers bummers,
Indians in the summer with a teenage diplomat
In the dumps with the mumps as the adolescent pumps his way into his hat
With a boulder on my shoulder, feelin’ kinda older,
    I tripped the merry-go-round
With this very unpleasin’, sneezin’ and wheezin,
the calliope crashed to the ground
The calliope crashed to the ground
    But she was…
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    runner in the night
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
Some silicone sister with a manager mister told me I go what it takes
She said “I’ll turn you on sonny to something strong,
play the song with the funky break”
And go-cart Mozart was checkin’ out the weather chart to see if it was safe outside
And little Early-Pearly came by in his curly-wurly and asked me if I needed a ride
Asked me if I needed a ride
    But she was…
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
    Blinded by the light
She got down but she never got tired
She’s gonna make it through the night
She’s gonna make it through the night
But mama, that’s where the fun is
But mama, that’s where the fun is
Mama always told me not to look into the eye’s of the sun
But mama, that’s where the fun is
Some brimstone baritone anticyclone rolling stone preacher from the east
Says, “Dethrone the dictaphone, hit it in it’s funny bone,
that’s where they expect it least”
And some new-mown chaperone was standin’ in the corner,
    watching the young girls dance
And some fresh-sown moonstone was messin’ with his frozen zone, reminding him of romance
The calliope crashed to the ground
    But she was…
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night

I’ve just had a call from the organisers, and have it on good authority that they have a grand finale planned involving a flock of Mustangs, a few gallons of Napalm and a field full of free-loaders.

I luuv the smell of Napalm after Legends Roast pig bap anyone ?

Well there goes the New Years resolution, four days into the New Year.

Anyone would think that Legends is the only airshow in the UK, and that the historic aviation world rotates around it.

I propose to the moderators that the word Legends should be deemed as a personal attack, and that anyone caught using it suffers an 8 month ban from this forum. 😉
