Is being at Duxford for a long time that historically significant? Some would argue that the Sea Vixen whilst a beautiful design didn’t really fire a shot in anger and is more technically interesting than anything else.
Should that a pre-requisite for any exhibit? In which case theyβll have to dispose of the Lightning and possibly the Phantom. Concorde would have to go, any other to add to the list?
A-517 β Privately owned. Possibly shipped to the Channel Islands? (Anybody know?)
Not in Jersey as far as I am aware.
If you own a Spit or anything else its your right to paint it any colour you want, its no one’s business except your own.
But if we pay good money to go and see these aircraft, some of which goes to the operators. Then surely the operators could make the effort to get things exactly right π
Would someone who loves to keep their day in order be a Filofaxophile ?????

Thanks Doc’ unfortunately I don’t subscribe to any aviation magazines these days.
Heinrich Von Crapaud is a mixed race resident of Jersey and a confused would be comic conributor to the Nazi AVIATION FORUM in London under the alias of EN 830.
EN 830 was a model Spitfire that his father built from dried Toad skins during the Nazi occupation of the said Isles, during which period, Heinrich was accidently begat.Heinrich, since his partly succesful Lobotomy now either breeds house trained cattle or breeds with the cattle himself, this is not really very clear, however I suspect it is the latter.
The latest arrival in the Crapaud family (6 months old Adolf) is shown in the above photo being fondled by Frau Brunhilde Crapaud who makes a really tasty Toad marmalade that is exported all over the Channel Isles.
Other than being an anonymous and cow-ardly wimp who refuses to stand by his arguments on the Nazi Forum and putting aside the cow breeding thing, I think that Herr Crapaud, if he gets over the Lobotomy, will have a great future in his life long ambition to breed a pure race of blonde blue eyed cows!
2 Pints please and a jar of cream.
I’ve been relegated to four paragraphs:mad: which basically say, in a pseudo French accent :-
Your mother was a toad and your father a nazi, I fart in your general direction you half breed.
Mind you I’d rather be called this, than what our fiend has written about poor old Web pilot batting for the otherside. π
All I have to say to those readers who are shocked by the behaviour of this now confirmed group of inbred festering Neo-Nazis that reside in the rat infested sewers of London -” God help them for they know not what they do”
A happy New Year to any and all of you that can still appreciate fair play…
To Web Pilot and the rest of the scum currently adding more poison and pathetic attempts at humour to the pages of this sad Forum, I wish for you all, the worst possible misfortune for 2007 and may your worst nightmares come alive.
Have a nice book burning.
PS Have had two messages from Forum members in my Guestbook overnight claiming that Web Pilot is a “Shirt Lifter.” I will not accept this cruel allegation but will only go so far as to say that Web Pilot may possibly have had his shirt lifted a number of times, but that’s not really quite the same is it?
Kenneth Williams
If anyone is having a bonfire this evening, can I suggest the one book you include in your ritual is Liam Welkins book on his exploits as a Royal Navy Medic;)
Did that star Kenneth More or Kenneth Williams? :diablo:
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh Matron π
All the Chinese et al joking aside, I never knew Stirlings flew with any other air force, besides the RAF.
You learning something new every day.
I’ll be up early, as usual, to milk the cows π
I have no problems viewing that page, unfortunately. However if you have nothing better to do, can I suggest pulling out all your teeth with a pair of pliers, it would be far less painful than trawling through his rubbish π
I ALSO ASK CASUAL VISITORS TO THIS AVIATION FORUM TO E-MAIL THE STRONGEST PROTESTS TO THE FORUM OPERATORS AS THIS MAN IS BRINGING THE FORUM, BRITISH CITIZENS, THE ROYAL AIR FORCE HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND THE COUNTRY AT LARGE INTO DISREPUTE AND RIDICULE.
With due respect Webpilot, I feel it’s my position to uphold the honour, reputation and defend the respect of, the Forum, the Country, its Citizens and the RAFHS. For the scandalous and derogatory remarks that you have made to sully the good names of these great institutions. I therefore challenge you to a duel, tomorrow morning at dawn, on the hallowed runway at Duxford. Choose your weapon, Red Herring or Kippers ?????
I admit that I have been guilty of it, too. Why bother with him any more…
Me too, and I agree.
flat earth society or something. Well….here’s hoping!!
The world is flat, a chap down the pub told me only yesterday.
Do you have to walk to work now Ian? Have you run the pumps dry of Diesel at the local filling station?
No, just too embarrassed to pull into a petrol station and ask for petrol.
the accusation of mine of him being a fat-arsed girly-lipped Crapaud.
That’s Mr fat-arsed girly-lipped Crapaud, to you goat boy.
It’s funny as I walk to work across the fields in a morning, I very rarely hear anyone shout out “morning Crapaud”. These days it’s more likely to be Sapo Da ManhΓ£ Boa or Dzien dobry, Crapaud is a phrase generally adopted by those six fingered, pin the tail on the Donkey champions from our sister, and second rate, island to the north.
Not sure about this “Crapaud” (an often and fondly used name for residents of JERSEY)
He say’s this, as if it’s some form of insult. Often used by whom ?
Would you now like to tell the world Sir, why you prefer to name yourself after a clapped out WWII Spitfire that the Germans messed around with, rather than use your real identity or, are you ashamed of it and have far too much to hide? Vive le Crapauds
Anyone worth their weight in research would follow the lead and find out the history behind this aircraft and the fate of the pilot. Obviously this pilots contribution to the bigger picture was no where near as big as Mr Williams, however he has still been remembered here in Jersey for the part that he played.
Mr Williams, if he was any good at this research thing, would by the powers of the internet be able to find out my identity, it is not hidden and is known to many. I just choose use EN830 as my identity here as it has significance to me and the island that I live on.
Now Mr Williams, I believe that there is a village in the Hunter Valley, missing its idiot. A role that I’m sure you are suitably qualified to fill. Me, I’m off to have a few beers, a Chinese lunch (not Pirate) and then home to milk the cows, we have 40 living in our front room, after all, Jersey’s are pretty cows.
