I think you’ll find the “other” forum was set up because of the disquiet with the way this forum was being run, at that time. One moderator (ex), at that time saw fit to use his powers with no thought or reason to or for his actions, thank-fully, in time he grabbed hold of enough rope and hung himself.
If you look back over the period since his departure, it has been a period of reasonable calm, that is until today and this thread.
The “other” forum is not an exclusive club anyone can join, but like here there are rules which the moderating team employ on occasions, just like here. I am aware of a number of members from this forum who joined the “other” forum with the sole intention of causing trouble, their accounts were removed without recourse.
We are all passionate about our various interests, unfortunately those passions, at times, over flow on to this media and friction between posters is the result. We can’t all agree, it’s the way of the world, and if we did, then this forum and the world would be a boring place.
