perhaps you may know if Germany and France, hand out to their respective immigrants, the same as we do?. If they do, then why do they even try and get into the U.K. even by walking through the Channel Tunnel?.I don’t know the answer myself, but would be interested to know.

I would guess that is our own fault. The English language as far more widespread than French or German, so it’s likely many come here for that reason.
