That’s possible true, but it would upset a lot of people.

Money is tight for everything in the UK (except foreign aid).

Only a select few Labour MP’s will vote against Trident. They are well aware that an anti-Trident party line would be political suicide. That’s if Corbyns masters even let him vote against it, think of the thousands of union jobs the loss of Trident would cause…

Labour need to be extra careful not to totally abandon the center ground, the Tories and UKIP took plenty of votes off Labour during the election.

He did ‘ok’ because he had been briefed it was the only way he could take the sting out of the Tories. No follow up on questions -just a listen to the PM and no real hard questioning. Didn’t really achieve anything apart from getting hundreds of MPs to London .

Still, he managed better than I expected. I think yesterdays blunder (re:the anthem) was a case of him not acclimatizing to his new role. He isn’t Jeremy Corbyn, back bencher and scruffy activist any more. He is leader of the party and head of the opposition, and hopefully his 180 on singing the anthem in future is an indication that he knows that he has to compromise for the good of the party.

It will be interesting to see how Labours relationship with the SNP develops now. On the one hand, they are now quite closely aligned, ideologically speaking. But the SNP must now fear bleeding support to Corbyn, especially with the disastrous way the SNP has run their schools and the NHS.

Some truly excellent footage, but somewhat tainted by overbearing commentary. The dedication at the end was a bit poor too, the pretty average soundtrack muting the engine sounds of the aircraft.

My favourite part was probably the two amputees learning to fly Spit’s. 🙂 What an amazing experience that must have been, and a fitting reward for those who dedicate their lives to serving the country. 🙂

Not only that, he nicked not one but two Costa coffee sandwich bags intended for the veterans!

I’d imagine he’s on the breadline with the amount of maintenance he’s paying to those ex wives 😀

Admittedly, my views are too central to ever see ‘eye to eye’ with Corbyn, but I did at least respect him. But after his behavior today he has lost that. His refusal to sing the anthem was childish, and he put no effort into his appearance. He is a well paid government minister, not a tramp!

I honestly never thought I would say these words, but even Ed Miliband was better.

You really have to wonder what Labour and Corbyn are smoking

    http://www.theguardian.com/politics/blog/live/2015/sep/15/jeremy-corbyn-speaks-to-the-tuc-conference-politics-live

Having just suffered one of the worst election defeats in the partys history, which can be squarely aimed at issues like immigration, EU membership, benefits, the economy etc, they are now commuting political suicide by once again trying to tell the electorate that they are wrong, and Labour is right. This, after having to listen to weeks of ‘lessons have been learned’. How can they be so far out of touch?

Yes, it’s wrong. Green/grey camo, sky band, and a Mk.V – with cannon. This is Rubbish. The Lancaster is irrelevant, and it’s not the ’75th anniversary of the Second World War’.

I believe that some cannon armed Spit’s participated in the BoB. 🙂

Yes, I agree. But I thought they were at the point where they had collapsed on their undercarriage and were basically hollowed out hulks. They appear to have their engines in place too, which is surprising given their value.
