    It’s a clipped wing mk. IXa 😀

My main concern is the lack of forward firing weapons 😀 Must have interesting handling too with the control surfaces at the leading edge of the wings 😀

I would say that he is a very lucky individual.

I doubt he feels like a “very lucky individual” at the moment, in fact I can’t imagine what the poor soul must be going through.

I don’t see how historic migration patterns have any bearing on the current situation? It’s like killing women for witchcraft, which also used to be okay. We *hopefully* live in a more enlightened age, and even the most basic understanding of nature shows that mass migrations are destructive. Especially when they stop.

We live on an overcrowded island, and the main destination (England) is the fourth most densely populated major country in the world. That is a very real problem that we face. No consideration is ever given to what our country will become. The UK is already set to have the highest population in Europe by 2060. Yes, higher than Germany, a country that is 40% bigger than the UK.

    Evidence?

I mean real evidence not conjecture

The results of last years EU parliamentary elections. Huge gains by Eurosceptic parties across Europe etc. It is looking increasingly possible that the FN will win the GE in France. And on top of the recent migrant issue, look at the complete mess the EU made of the Greek crisis.

They keep being given opportunities to prove their worth, and they keep failing spectacularly.

EU-Scepticism has never been higher, and this is his response:

The EU president will call for ‘more Europe’ as multiple crises threaten to tear the continent apart

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/eu/11852158/State-of-the-Union-Europe-in-the-last-chance-saloon-warns-EU-president-Jean-Claude-Juncker.html

How can they not see what is so clearly before them. The people of Europe want less EU, not more.

Whatever you may think of the UKIP MEP’s, it is completely inappropriate for the President to speak to the people he is supposed to be accountable to in that manner. I despise the fact we had someone like George Galloway in parliament, but I would be very unhappy if the prime minister spoke to him in that fashion!

It shows an utter lack of respect and professionalism.

Exactly. The Commission and the President, IE, the people who set the direction of the EU, are not elected by the public. The president is an ex (?) Communist. It doesn’t seem democratic to me to have someone who is far left leaning being President of a political union whose elected representatives are overwhelmingly centre right.

And then we have Juncker telling Farage that his opinion is “worthless” this morning. That doesn’t sound like the language a a fair and democratically elected leader. Can you imagine what would happen if Camoron spoke to one of his opposition in that manner?
And now they are putting their asylum/immigration proposal infront of the EU parliament, and telling the MEPs that anyone who does not sign up to them will face economic penalties. Again, not really a democratic tone.

    definition of Little Englander

“Little Englander” is an epithet applied in criticisms of English people who are regarded as xenophobic and/or overly nationalistic and are often accused of being “ignorant” and “boorish”. It is sometimes applied to opponents of globalism, multilateralism and internationalism; for instance those who are against membership of the European Union.

In which instance I would refer to you as an ‘Anti Democratic, Little Europeaner’. Being in the EU restricts the UK’s ability to form international trade deals, so it is actually our EU ties that are hindering globalisation. Although they are trying to force the TTIP on us…

As Moggy demonstrated in post #39, having genuine concerns about the population density of the country you live in doesn’t make you a bigot, it makes you prudent. All of the level headed people who want a sustainable, constructive immigration system are tarred with the racist brush by a hysterical left wing.

    Who are we calling migrants?

    Really?!

    immigrant

a person who migrates to another country, usually for permanent residence.

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/immigrant

    I.E, anyone not born here.

And besides which, if you’re going to play the history game, I’m sure you’re aware that Syrians amongst others invaded Europe as part of the Ottoman empire, and slaughtered millions of innocent people? But it is not relevant to the current situation, just as your example is not.
