What terrible news for all concerned ๐
Setting off pyrotechnics near a bust motorway probably isn’t a good idea ๐
I once found a thread on a conspiracy forum whereby various posters claimed that the basement of the town hall in Celle had been used for bizarre occult experiments that involved grafting the heads of one creature onto another, or onto a human, or whatever. Said basements were apparently flooded, then concreted over.
Given what we know of monstrous Nazi mdeical experiments, and those carried out by the Japanese, it doesn’t take a stretch of the imagination to believe these things could have happened.
How many of the preserved Victors are undercover? Too much history reversal gets carried out ! She is a tanker -that is enough to justify her undercover at Duxford.
How many bomber spec Victors are on display? 0
When there are several examples in museums that represent the types brilliant work as a tanker, surely it would be preferable to bring the bomber back from extinction?
Further to this, when we already have several very nice Victor tankers in Museums, why not restore her to her original bomber specification, in anti flash white?

It would make her more distinctive for sure.
So was the windscreen frame common between the high back and low back Spitfires? And one would assume that the canopy rails, and their dimensions must be common to both types?
Good news, I’m not a fan of the Hispano Aviaciรณn HA-1112 it’s like something walt Disney would design.

While I’m not a huge fan of the Buchons looks, I am incredibly glad for their existence. They have filled in for genuine 109s admirably, and films such as The Battle of Britain and Memphis Belle wouldn’t have been possible without them.
Considering he has had several full size replica Lancasters and a Wellington made, presumably at considerable cost, I doubt the future of the film is in any doubt.
To be honest, if the flying sequences are going to be in CGI, I would prefer it to be cancelled.
Why don’t you post up a picture of the writing on the back of the Anson picture? A fresh set of eyes may help. ๐
That’s what’s so scary. He’s actually allowed guns. He’s not really safe to handle cutlery.
You don’t need cutlery to eat a hamburger.

A more thoughtful and long term solution is required. This is sadly not something that the populace or those elected to represent the populace are very good at however.

Japan was already on its knees and would have surrendered without an invasion.
I don’t think you understand the Japanese mentality. Honor and respect mean far more to the Japanese than to most peoples, it is one of the reasons why the suicide rate is so high there. To die in battle was an honor, to be captured or to surrender was an unbearable humiliation to them. The only reason (IMO) they surrendered was because Emperor Hirohito intervened.
If you compare Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined to every single conventional bomb dropped on the Japanese, which do you think was the most effective method? Which resulted in the most deaths/disfigurements overall, and which method saved the most lives? (the B-29 incendiary raid on Tokyo alone killed more people than either Hiroshima or Nagasaki)
As abhorrent as the use of Nuclear weapons is, it seems to me that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the lesser evil.
