That is brilliant 😎
The VTTS trust Facebook page has a thread on today’s events, with thousands of comments and plenty of pictures.
Seeing it fly today has brought some joy to a lot of people, aviation enthusiasts and the general public. I doubt there are many aircraft, airworthy or not, that could evoke such a reaction from such a mixed group.
That was great. 🙂
Great shot of MH434. 😎
Just witnessed this from my bedroom window

A good 10 minute display at low level, through the clouds, and lots of howling.
Just incredible.
It would be interesting to find out the performance penalty for the Mosquito carrying such a heavy load.
I think one must realise that to the vast majority of people the Vulcan, nice and impressive as it may be, is just another aircraft.
I disagree. In very lucky to live near Elvington, and even luckier to have witnessed XH558 doing practice displays here over the last few years.
Many of my friends, who are not aviation enthusiasts, have been in absolute awe of the Vulcan as she’s flown over. A combination of the shape, size and sound just makes it an incredible experience, even if it isn’t being flown like Maverick does in TopGun.
Ah yes, I’d forgotten the old argument that you’re not a true aviation enthusiast unless you prostate yourself before the great God Vulcan.
Not my words, but certainly if you’ve become so sick of an interest that you deride no pleasure from it, look for a new interest. Anything else is simply a waste of time.
It must be said that’s one torpedo that certainly isn’t going to find a target
Moggy
And someone might want to wake up the rear gunner! 😀
I find it bizarre that so many people who are clearly not historic aviation enthusiasts ‘hang around’ on a historic aviation forum.
It’s nothing short of a miracle that we still have an airworthy Vulcan (okay, a lot of luck, hard work and a few pennies), if seeing a very significant historic type flying in any fashion is “boring”, perhaps you need a new hobby.
The participation and the manner of participation should be dictated by customer demand. As the Vulcan only has very limited time left, surely every effort should be made by major airshow organisers to have the Vulcan do a flying display, even if that is at the cost of other types flying.
Certainly not instead of F35, that will be a huge crowd puller. Do we know which model of F35 is displaying? And on a very loosely related note, I was pleased to see a Sea Harrier on the flying display list at Farnborough. 🙂
I think one of the problems is that the Vulcan display is boring.
You’re on an aviation forum stating that you find watching the last airworthy V-Bomber in flight “boring”?
Perhaps this forum would be more to your tastes? http://www.mumsnet.com/ 😀
Until these 3rd world countries and religions come up to some semblance of humanity then the religions should be restricted in entry to this fairly excepting country..
Doesn’t that just make us as bad as them though?
I’m all for freedom of religion, but those found forcing it on others should be punished VERY severely. And of course, cutting immigration by 90% would help a great deal.
Except it isn’t true, at least not how he described it. If he had made a factual statement that the demographics of London are changing, and the proportion of white residents was diminishing, that would be one thing. Suggesting that white people are being ‘ethnically cleansed’ with all the connotations of that phrase, is patently absurd.
The government drop all meaningful border controls, certain areas of the country fill up with immigrants (coloured or not), including the capital. They see the ethnic population declining, and do nothing about it.
Sounds very much like ethnic cleansing to me. You can spin it which ever way you like, but by the actions of our government, the ethnic British population is being driven out (or at least declining as a percentage of the overall population). Because no violence is being used, apparently it’s fine.
Fantastic to see such a large type being brought back from extinction. 🙂
It gives us Stirling enthusiasts some hope.
