I agree that it’s unlikely this will escalate into all out war. But, I’m sure the same was said by many 100 years ago…
Some very troubling signs
I don’t even think they’d go for sanctions. There would be a lot of ‘huffing and puffing’, it would be condemned, but nothing would come of it.
What about PR Spitfires? They could reach Berlin.
PR Spitfires weren’t fighters 🙂
With such political turmoil on their doorstep, surely it’s prudent for the Russians to be on high alert?
Perhaps he hadn’t seen the P38s?
What one doesn’t want to see is operations like Thunder City was..
Have you any evidence to suggest as much?
Seems to me that the patrons of this Lancaster take the very best care of her.
Katie Hopkins
She sums up everything that is wrong with celebrity culture. Awful, awful person.
In your opinion, would it be worth paying the extra for takeoff in the nav position?
The Halifax pic has made me thing what a twin Griffon engined Beaufighter might look like…
Thank you. 🙂
Think I’m going to go for a cheap seat too. Shame there’s no access to the turrets, but it is entirely understandable. I wonder if that restriction applies to the bombardiers position? (I assume so)
Sorry, I think you misunderstood me. I will be paying for a flight, I just need to decide whether it will be a cockpit one or not. 🙂 Being able to look over the aircraft while it’s in flight would be the dream. 🙂
I’m seriously considering booking a flight, but I just want to know about the seating in the aircraft. Are you guaranteed a room with a view, such as a turret etc? I’m not sure I can justify another £1500 for the cockpit seat, but I don’t want to pay £3500 and be stuck in the depths of the fuselage 😀
I don’t suppose that Peter Jackson has had anything to do with this??? If not, he may be very interested in the unique opportunity this presents for him.
It would be amazing if a flypast of Just Jane could be organised, and the Yorkshire Air Museums Halifax.
