It was a fantastic afternoon at Duxford!

I suspect the highlight for many was this small display given by the Army Longbow helicopter. (taken on my phone)

Take off is approx. 4 minutes in.

The score from ‘A Bridge Too Far’ is one of my favourites, as it’s a moving piece in its own right, and then there’s the composers personal involvement with the events, which just makes it perfect for the subject.

Most scores by John Williams and James Horner tend to be fantastic, plus the amazing work that Hans Zimmer has done with Christopher Nolans Batman trilogy.

Could the Beaufighter not be converted into a Merlin powered variant?

How dare the politicians try and claim this as a victory. This ‘thing’ should have been deported years ago, he’s made a mockery of UK and European Laws.

@Lincoln7, the competition Capri sounds like a MK2 ‘John Player Special’ edition, which was black with gold pin stripes, with a cream/gold interior.

While I’m generally glad that tobacco advertising is banned, it did produce some stunning vehicle schemes.

My first two cars were Capris, a MK2 and then a MK3. Neither as glamorous as a 2.8 or 3.0 though.

    They did make a 3.0 S as a MK3 🙂 it was replaced by the 2.8i iirc.

What if JSF was split into two separate programmes?

it would cease to be a Joint Stike Fighter…

But seriously, I’d be interested in seeing costings for two programmes as opposed to the one ‘jack of all trades, master of none’ that we have been given.
