Personally I’m more concerned about all the idiots who would like blow most of us up, those who feel that the UK is a great provider but an evil country, than some plant pot disrupting the ruddy boat race which in the national scheme of things not exactly of major importance.

I don’t think there’s any need for a comparison really, any immigrant who breaks the law should have their visa revoked.

The statistics for immigrants in the prison system is disturbing.

I’m glad they’re kicking this criminal out, there are plenty of legitimate avenues to protest about inequality and elitism, so there is no excuse for his behaviour.

It’s refreshing to see a politician actually admit to a mistake, take full responsibility, and apologise for it.

If it had been Milliband, somehow the coalition would be to blame. Apparently Labour don’t make financial mistakes 😀

Since Rafale was politically unacceptable for the RN’s carriers, Hawk is politically unacceptable for France. Period.

    Nic

Not so. It would be “politically unacceptable” for the US to operate a frontline Europen jet, yet they operate the Hawk with great success.

The Hawk is still a fine aircraft, by anyone’s standards. Infact, the US spec T45 ‘Goshawk’ would be well suited to Frances needs.

It will be very sad if this lovely Spit’ leaves the UK.

I’d definately keep th A10, it’s capabilities are unique, and I’d argue more relevant to today’s conflicts.

PC-21 and Hawk are NOT in the same class.

Typhoon sonic booms heard over 3 counties while intercepting an airliner that had reported a disturbance. Windows smashed.

    What a stupid post.

Russia has provided Assad with weapons that are almost completely useless in an insurgency, no matter how hard you try to change that.
Same can’t be said if the rebel side, who has clear small arms and munition support from elsewhere.

But yeah, West is all about supporting only free states in the ME. LOL!

If Russia wanted to seriously support Assad it could do so easily. Send in hundreds of stored tanks and other infantry weapons, or provide training to Syrian army troops within Russia itself.
That would actually do something, unlike the as of yet undelivered S-300 and MiG-29s.

Just for the benefit of those who aren’t aware, what model of assault rifle do the “rebel side” generally use? They don’t look like a western design to me…

every single ‘hot spot’ in the world is full of cold war era ex Soviet weapons, but I guess it’s easier to point the finger elsewhere than realise that the responsibility for arming both sides lies closer to home.

A Spitfire (mk9?) on a trailer, heading eastbound on the m62 at approximately 2pm Saturday.

Alternatively kick out indigenous Brits who SHOULD be doing these jobs!;)

Not a bad idea actually. A financial incentive to move our career dolers to Southern Europe would actually save us money in the long run, as those states would then have to pay their benefits under EU law.
