Alternatively kick out indigenous Brits who SHOULD be doing these jobs!;)

Not a bad idea actually. A financial incentive to move our career dolers to Southern Europe would actually save us money in the long run, as those states would then have to pay their benefits under EU law.

This needs sorting quickly, before these shanty towns start becoming a common occurrence.

Even though the Dornier has only just been recovered, I suspect now would be a very good time to instigate the recovery of a Stirling. Fresh off the back of the media coverage of the successful Dornier lift, coupled with it being a British type, I should think donations would be forthcoming.

It also has the distinction of being ‘the underdog’ of the RAF heavies, and we all know how Brits like an underdog. 🙂

We should be looking to recover what we can now, as before long there won’t be anything worth recovering.

Should be out of the water in 30 minutes according to the BBC.

    Good luck to all involved.

According to Hollande, the Euro debt crisis is over:

He can’t honestly think that? Utter lunacy.

I have advocated Elvington being her most suitable long term home and will continue to do so. I believe it fits perfectly the collection there and the site has a relevance to the Vulcan story. Continuing to fly her further is fine -lets just hope some money is left to put a roof over her when she lands for the last time!

Given Elvingtons current collection, the addition of a Vulcan would make for an excellent Falklands war exhibit (Mirage iii, Harrier GR3, Victor), especially if a Hercules could be secured, and a loan of the RAF museums Pucara.

It never ceases to amaze me the level of negativity towards XH558 in these threads. I thought this was an aircraft enthusiasts forum?

Long may she continue to grace the skies over England.

There’ll be plenty of this to come, mark my words.

    Diego Garcia is another.

I can’t wait to see the thing. Its exciting stuff, despite my zero expectation of anything worth having.

To me, anything from that aircraft would be woth having. 🙂

Good luck to all involved. Bringing back an extinct type is something truly special.
