IF the Falklands were taken, I doubt RAF Typhoons and Tornadoes would be involved in any ‘Black Buck’ style raids. The Argentines would have to be stupid not to factor that possibility into their defence strategy.

However, there’s very little the Agentines could muster that would stand a chance against a well organised Royal Navy task force. A single Type 45 would prove a huge threat to the entire Argentine airforce.

    F-35 — The Omnishambles Fighter

According to Google, although ‘F-35’ has been paired with ‘omnishambles’ on a variety of occasions, I am the first person to use this exact phrase evoking Dassault’s sales tag for Rafale as ‘The Omnirole Fighter’. All royalties via PayPal, etc. :p

I believe Dassault are changing the sales tag to ‘The Obsolete Fighter’ :diablo:

    Certainly outdated, but not obsolete.

Leaving Elvington after a display in the early 90’s, we were walking home as we lived in the village, and the BAE Mosquito kept flying overhead, repeatedly, for the whole 2 mile walk.

It crashed a few months later 🙁

I consider myself very lucky though, my patents house is very large and on a hill in the centre of the village. Most of the display aircraft would use it as a turning point, so in the loft conversion I got an close, uninterrupted view of many warbirds. Some probably a bit lower than they should have 😎

    I miss those days.

If I were in Mr Farages shoes, i’d want very little to do with Mr Murdoch.

I’m openly and obviously Eurosceptic, but I don’t believe for a second they’d start censoring the Internet. I’m not a huge advocate of pornography, but believe people should be free to see what they want online (so long as reasonable steps are taken to keep it away from minors)

Then again, letting minors use the Internet unsupervised is inherently risky.

One more pressing problem for Nigel to consider…

I can’t see that happening though, censoring the Internet would be political suicide for the EU.

    An ‘Empire’ flying boat.

I reckon people would pay a small fortune to do a world tour in one of those (and they’d need to!)
