Wouldn’t IB from MAD be the simplest option?
I am not sure about Virgin
They don’t fly to SIN.
Air France looks great
Looks great in what sense? Never flown longhaul with them, but thought they were pretty awful on Shorthaul Business Class.

What is happening with his new proposed airline ?
My understanding is that Kiss Flights is a seat only agency, not an airline.
Or have I got that wrong?

Why did he need help..i thought they’d be trained in the sim to land the aircraft with only one pilot??
That was my thought Steve. The idea of trying to find a passenger to assist sounds like something from an Airport movie.

BA have an agreement with EI, from decades back, not to compete on LHR Ireland routes.
They used to have a codeshare agreement on the EI’s LHR routes, but that has been dropped in recent years. There is an interline agreement on LHR Ireland routes with both EI and BD making it easy enough to transfer onto BA and vice versa.
As an aside has anyone noticed the bmi billboards around LHR advertising “Heathrows second favourite airline”? Now there’s something for the competition to aspire to!

I get the same Rick.

they put winglets on ‘AB’ and make her look sweet, than sprawl that rubbish down the side of her. Not good!
Agreed.

Love the WOW.

Although it’s a blow for MAN this announcement doesn’t surprise me at all. If the routes aren’t performing and they feel they can do more with the 330 aircraft at LHR, especially with open skies now in place, it makes sense.
Does this move mean that the longhaul crew base will close?
I just hope BMA don’t mimic BAW, and pull out of MAN – and base all aircraft at LHR.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we do eventually see that, with BD feeding into LHR and LH feed into FRA from the UK regions.
It’ll be interesting to see where Baby and Regional fit into future plans.

Improvements have to be a good thing and it certainly sounds like big things are planned, but as a building I think it’s non-descript and boring.

The 146 was THE quietest jet airliner going.
I always thought that was because they pipe the noise into the cabin. When the flaps travel the noise in the cabin is incredible.

Flybe operate a Q400 on the NCL-LGW
That’s a pity, I am due a trip up to NCL to visit family and hoped I might get to fly the 195 for the first time.
G-EUUZ looking very sparkly in the sunshine, doesn’t seem that long since I flew on G-EUUA on it’s first flight in service.

then bangkok to thailand
???
Did I read somewhere else that you are going to Oz to live Conor? Maybe that’s what is making you nervous.

Thanks Deano.
I figured it would be something to do with the runway or similar, it just seemed strange that they “had hoped to continue offering our Guernsey passengers a continued jet aircraft” when the jet aircraft in question wasn’t able to operate from the airport.
I thought there might be another (more interesting) reason.

I’ve always prefered the layout of BA’s business class. There you still get a proper window seat.
Or indeed a 4 or 5 window seat!
I guess the Upper Class suite wasn’t designed with flying enthusiasts in mind, although in fairness we probably don’t account for a large % of the Business Class travelling public.
I wonder if it would be feasable for the herringbone pattern to face out rather than in.
I remember a recent similar thread to this one, and as I said then I was surprised by the negative comments. From my limited recent experience of VS I have always found their aircraft to be clean, tidy and comfortable.
