Works fine for me.
Interestingly, I fly to DME regularily and the passengers often say the only 2 things they like about it are it’s location relative to the city and the fact that it’s not SVO.
I’ve never set foot in the terminal so I can’t comment myself.

To be honest I always end up going back to the airline websites themselves. I’m not convinced the non-airline sites are any better.

Just re-read your post and had a thought.
If the question you are asking is would the ticket desk knock you out a ticket for a fiver rather than fly an empty seat, the answer is no. They can only sell at the fares available in the reservations system, they don’t make decisions about fares themselves.

It’s always possible to just turn up at a ticket desk and buy a ticket to somewhere. It’s always possible that there might be some bargains to be had, and I’m sure the staff would have a look for you if you ask nicely.
In saying that, with internet booking being the big thing these days (and where the deals usually are) you’d be better sitting down tonight and looking through the different websites until you find something that suits.
Enjoy wherever you go, and post us some photos.

Paul,
Toms point was not lost on me at all, nor was it without truth, however some of the posts made in this thread, as in others Tommy has posted, are blatantly rude and patronising.

Do you agree?
Although my point was rather about the accuracy of the answers people give to these surveys I absolutely agree with your comments. For me the whole point of a loco is pay little get little.

which is of course, the first low-fare airline to operate into Heathrow…
Ah but would the bosses at bmi agree with that statement?
Nice pictures by the way.

Tolerant as ever guys. If Tommy’s threads bother you so much just ignore them.

surprising because Delta are an airline that seem to have had more radical changes than the average airline livery over the last few years!
If I’m honest I couldn’t tell you which of the DL liveries I see at various airports is the most recent, there seem to be so many.
As for this one, I like it. Clean and fresh, although if I’m picking fault the tail logo could perhaps be a bit brighter.

I personally don’t read too much into these surveys, as they very much depend which 10/100/1000/whatever people they ask. I also think a certain amount of bravado or ‘talking the talk’ comes into peoples answers.
For example if 75% of people are willing to pay more for extra space why do the likes of Ryanair sell so many seats, mostly to people looking for the cheapest ticket regardless of anything else, and why do business class cabins, where available, seldom account for 75% of the pax load?

what is general airline policy these days if I were to use my phone, inflight in this mode ?
Obviously I can only speak for BA but we allow the use of mobile phones in ‘flight mode’ during the cruise provided that it was enabled before engine start up, and not used during take off or landing.
If I see someone using a mobile, or the dreaded Blackberry business-life-support-machine, I just gently check with them that it is in flight mode.
The problem is that many a business man thinks the rules apply to everyone else but not him. I asked one guy recently during the approach, who growled at me that it was, and while I was explaining why I was asking he recieved 2 text messages!
Of course, I’m just jealous that I’m not so important that I must always be contactable. 😉
One other point, of course it doesn’t matter what this report says, until the CAA say it’s acceptable, the use of mobiles won’t be allowed onboard UK registered aircraft.

Nowhere does it mention that that is a logojet.
Except on the title of the thread!

“Innocent until proven guilty” is the law of the land. The last pilot charged with this offence was found not guilty. It is also possible to be at or near the very low level of alcohol of this draconian law through naturally occuring residual alcohol from certain types of diet.Bear in mind that the degraded performance of an airline pilot legally working up to fourteen hours of night duty can easily be at the level of equivalence of having three pints of beer.I,d be far more concerned at flying with a fatigued pilot which happens regularly in the industry than someone with a quarter of the drink drive limit of alcohol. The authorities are of course completely unconcerned about fatigued pilots…it would cost money and put your fares up can,t have that can we…thats a real safety concern.
Now there speaks the truth. 100% agree Stampe.

In the close up of the Spanish 707 what’s going on with the extra bit of door handle showing on the left of the actual handle?

Also GLA-EDI was operated by BMI enroute to Copenhagen. Not bookable though.
GLA-EDI was also operated by AirUK as part of a LGW-GLA-EDI-LGW flight. It was bookable but whether anyone ever did I don’t know. I did it several times on my way from GLA to LGW.
Of the other routes suggested:
LON – BRS, BA Brymon
LON – BHX, Air Europe Express
LON – CWL, Air Wales
LON – EMA, British Midland
LGW – LBA, BA British Regional
LGW – MME, Gill Air
All dropped in due course.
