no way I did not know that there staff had to pay for there own training 😮
Don’t know about ground and office staff but flight and cabin crew have to pay to send in their CV!

I would say they wouldn’t accept a driving licence on the day. The requirements for photo-id are surely those in force at the time of travel not the time of booking (id has nothing to do with making the booking).
The only way round this would be to get the information from the hotline in writing, and that’s never going to happen.
Looking at the website I’m amazed how few forms of id they do accept!
Wish them luck,

“There was a great long queue, which is not what we want, and staff were sitting there doing nothing.
I find it very difficult to accept that even the worst staff would sit doing nothing with a long queue in front of them. I do however accept that in the current operating environment there would be lots of unmanned check-in desks with a long queue in front of them.
Regardless of the circusmstances this is no way for someone in his position to behave or conduct business.

Didn’t they put a nice dent in one of their Bae 146’s not long ago?

and got her crew out alive.
Looking at the damage I’m not sure that would have been the case for pax had there been any onboard.
Here’s to full recoveries for the crew.

First scheduled service to Madeira from Manchester
Not the first, Air Europe had a scheduled MAN FNC service in the late 80’s/early 90’s.

That’s unless they adapt the system so that the message is sent to a robot/vending machine trolley which rolls down the aisle, stops at your seat and dispenses your order.
For God’s sake don’t let Willie Walsh see that post or I’ll be down the job centre quicker than you can order a coke!

Where was this one dug up from? It happened on July 27th!
Quite a habit forming for BA, a similar incident happen at LHR a couple of years ago.
It’s actually happened twice at Heathrow in the past couple of years. Once where the wing of a Sri Lankan 340 clipped the wing of a BA 747 and once where the wing of a BA 747(?) being pushed back clipped the tail of a BA 321 waiting to park.

Although I think you’re right there.

Also for BA at LCY, BA Cityflyer took ownership of the first EMB170, G-LCYD, from Embraer in Brazil today (Thursday).
It’s due in the UK on Saturday.

I remember a friend paid £48 for Speedy Boarding on Easyjet (£8 each for her and two kids for a round trip). Unfortunately they opened general boarding when she was only a few footsteps down the jetty so half a 319 of people sprinted past her!

From the Virgin Atlantic website:
Once you’re checked in:
When you arrive at the airport go straight to the Bag Drop where we’ll check your luggage and give you a boarding pass. You will need to show your printed boarding pass (if you have printed one),

more A318’s need to be ordered?
Well yes, but as they haven’t been ordered I assume these ideas are still at the evaluation stage.
