I may have dreamed this, but I seem to remember reading that the guy who set up Danish Air Transport came up with the livery by having his young son colour in a blank drawing of a ATR. It shows too!

This backs up the point I made in the last Sam Chui thread. OK it’s a great location, but is it a great photograph? I reckon Lance and several others on the forum could produce far better given access to the same spot.

Hi A330-200 and welcome to the forum.
I’ve had a look at aa.com and it looks like you are right and there are very few seats still available.
Bear in mind that we are talking about departure only a few days away, on a busy route operated by relatively small aircraft, at the beginning of the summer (busy) period. Add to that the airline won’t offer all seats as available to reserve via the website.
Hope you have a good trip to the UK if it goes ahead.

looks kinda funky don’t you think?
looks kinda nasty I think!

I like the simplicity of a mostly white scheme.

what routes do Aurigny operate their Trislanders on
Guernsey-Alderney
Guernsey-Jersey
Guernsey-Dinard
Alderney-Southampton
Plus some charters
aren’t they the largest operator of that type of a/c?
Not 100% sure about that one, but I believe so. They have 6 operational Trislanders and 2 pwfu for spares, as well as 3 ATR72’s and a Short 360 which is due to be replaced by an ATR42.

could you also use CD/MD-Players and Laptops?
I can’t speak for other airlines but you already can on BA flights and most other UK carriers.

This is important for Long Haul, not so important for short haul. Havent DLH expressed an interest?
I would say the opposite is true. On longhaul flights people pretty much write off the day for travelling, on shorthaul the flight is a bit of an inconvenience sometime in their working day. With the mobile they can carry on working.
Mobiles onboard is something I never want to see, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time.
I can see it now, people getting arsey when you interupt them to ask what they want to drink, people in row 22 complaining about the prat in row 3 talking too loudly, the deafening roar of 50 Club pax trying to out-business-talk each other, and the whole traveller cabin calling their friends to say “guess where I am!”.
Oh dear!

I work for swissport at bhx, trust all the excitement to happen on my day off
Surely that’s a good thing jasop. Must have been a nightmare for the ground staff at BHX today.

I wonder if new planes have that smell like new cars do???
As our 321’s were being delivered I flew on three of them on their first flights. The smell of leather wafted up the jetty to meet us as we were boarding.

The doors are arranged on alternate sides, if I remember rightly row 1rhs (the pilots seats), 3lhs, 5rhs, 7lhs and 8rhs, with seats folding forward as Mark says for access to the other rows.
You can just about make them out in these pictures taken from airliners.net and myaviation.net respectively.

While they only have one 767 is it going to have to keep positioning up and down between GLA and MAN?

I seem to remember that there is some long standing agreement between BA and EI that BA wouldn’t operate LHR DUB. Might be wrong though.

Oh, very witty PMN.

Great photo in that it is of one of my favourite airlines, but as you will see from my posts in other similar ‘Sam Chui’ threads I agree with T5 and Bemused55.
To be honest many of you guys could take as good if not better photographs given access to his locations.
