Anyone know why G-JEAV has had the FlyBe titles removed?

This is one apsect that makes things like capacity available, catering, etc. difficult for an airline. On the up side they can charge more for flexible tickets.

What a lot of business people with flexible tickets do is book a flight planned around the latest they are likely to finish their working day. Invariably they are able to finish early, so they try their luck on earlier flights (either checked-in straight away if seats are available, or on standby if they are not), safe in the knowledge that if all else fails they still have a reservation on the later flight they originally booked on.

On key business routes around the UK and Europe, the passenger loads on flights departing around 1600 are generally higher than booked, whilst those departing around 1800 are generally lower.

I did think that ‘Bennyhone Tartan’ was the best of a bad lot.

Among staff and passengers I think most people would agree with you there.

Did you know that the Benyhone tail was actually designed for BCal before they merged with BA. The plan was for the tails to be done in the different colours of tartan used in the uniforms, with a large lion rampant at the front of the fuselage, roughly at the 1 doors, and the navy underside and gold stripe being moved lower down the fuselage.

I wonder what the reaction would have been given everyones love of the BCal colour scheme.

I’m happy to be corrected, but the last I knew 3 of the 8 Dash’s, G-BRYU/V/Y were still in utopia colours, Benyhone, Colum and Rendezvous respectively. Perhaps our MAN regulars are the best to say if they’ve seen them recently.

Not sure what the 4 aircraft referred to in the article would be. Where is the article from?

Hmm that article isnt quite right, there are still quite a few world tails flying around. MEDA’s departure marked the end of World Tails at Heathrow, maybe thats what they meant?

That’s what I was thinking Mark.

    Now now children…

Guys, please get off Lee’s back. Lee, please read the Code of Conduct and stop winding the guys up.

Perhaps we should bring it back to the real issue?

    Allow me.

The 767-300 (763) has two aisles, usually with 2/3/2 or 2/4/2 seating depending on the carrier. There are usually about 40 odd rows which makes for 80+ window seats. Check in nice and early and you shouldn’t have a problem.

Enjoy your flights, have a great holiday and welcome to the forum.

But surely an Argentine A320 wouldn’t have the range for Gatwick. 😉

I was really just talking about recognising the tail from the drawing.

However you do see Aerolineas Argentinas shorthaul aircraft At LGW, usually an MD-80something, operating their flights to MAD, which is probably what the Air Plus Comet aircraft was doing.

I remember many years ago our friend Wys working on a normal scheduled service with pax onboard carrying an extra engine in this way.

    Aerolineas Argentinas?

So Judas was right as well, same tail logo!

Is it just me or is Air Plus Comet a really naff name for an airline? I always think it sounds like they thought up 2 names, couldn’t decide which to use, so stuck them both together.

That’s the one. Thanks for that. Because I do so many MAN and NCL flights it’s amazing how often you guys post photos of aircraft I am working on.
