Ooooh – nice livery? (or not?)
Not!

We have row 13 on our aircraft and from time to time people do ask not to sit there. I won’t tell you what I’m thinking while I’m trying to reseat them on a full aircraft.

that must of come in from Birmingham
We landed right behind them today, and amazingly the Captain who flew it into NCL managed to make our return flight to LHR. He must have legged it before his passengers had even disembarked!
He had flown it in from FRA, so it must have positioned BHX FRA before operating to NCL. The timing would be right. He was then positioning with us NCL LHR BRU then operating another aircraft back to the states. Sooner him than me!

The extra legroom will be at the overwing exits (rows 15 and 16) although kids wouldn’t be allowed in these rows, and row 15 won’t recline as it has an exit behind it.
Although there aren’t any legalities regarding the front row and kids, it looks from the diagram like company policy not to allow kids the aisle seats. At the front on the right there generally isn’t any extra legroom as such, more a feeling of space because there is a flat bulkhead rather than another seat. Charter config 737s don’t usually have a bulkhead on the left at row 1 which makes for great legroom, but I suspect excel must have otherwise the whole of that row would be shaded blue (available for adults only) on the diagram.
I guess the other thing to watch out for with Excel would be the likelihood of aircraft changes or non-standard cabin layouts given their connections with various other carriers and frequent leasing in of aircraft.

Whilst I don’t dislike TAP’s new colours, I still can’t help but see ‘ebay airways’ with that logo.

So many types for so many reasons.
757-200 because it’s so sexy.
330-300 because it’s so pretty.
Shorts 360 because it’s so ugly.
737 because I love it to work on.
Trislander because flying on it makes me smile.

And you last flew Upper Class when?
More recently than you’ve flown BA ‘J’ I suspect. And I have been asking haven’t I?
For those of you who don’t know. Wys and I are great mates, and he knows what a fan of Virgin I am. Please don’t think we are being serious. Well not TOO serious!

Remember that we are comparing Upper Class with club…the gap is huge.
And you last flew Club World when?

Just an extra quick point.
When I was at NCL the other day I asked the aircraft dispatcher if it was possible to find out about stand allocations, changes, etc. for a given flight. She said that as long as the flight was still showing on the computer system it should be, so I asked her to have a look for me.
Turns out the sudden change of stand was caused by the flight crew parking the aircraft on the wrong stand. Hardly the fault of the airport I think even you’ll agree Comet!

Never thought about it before, but what’s the tail logo on Biman? I can’t make it out?

lmao

Technically you shouldn’t be there. Don’t quote me (for obvious reasons) but I think the worst that would happen to you is that you would be asked to move on. Certainly none of your other suggestions.

So finally BA show signs of wanting to catch up with the competition! 😉 😀 😉
Ah yes. Virgin Atlantic, always pioneering. Just don’t mention flat beds or self service check-in!

Oooh wonder whether my 747 in Sept will have AVOD?
Damn and blast, looks like Mark L and myself will just miss out on this!
Realistically guys, with so many aircraft to get through the chances of getting it are quite slim until well into the fitting programme.

I’m afraid you’ve got the wrong end of the stick
Fair comment Wozza, clearly I have.
I’m just not used to people on here being concerned about airport noise. It seemed to me that these were your opinions. I stand corrected.
